The property has wooden floors throughout and has a homely and contemporary feel. It is light and spacious and is able to cater for up to six people. There is a comfortable king size bed and also a double for your use, however if you have more than 4 people in your group, you can also take advantage of the double sofa bed in the living area.

Available for your use is a TV, and DVD player, as well as a number of books, guides and other useful information to make your stay in the city as enjoyable as possible. WIFI internet is also provided.

The London region

Nestled between the two financial districts (City of London and Canary Wharf) on the North side of the Thames River, my City of London apartment offers the best of both worlds – close proximity to the action but without all the noise that’s usually associated with city centre living!

It is situated on a small street which is only a 5 minute walk to the subway/underground/metro - Whitechapel, on the East London (Orange), District (Green) and the Hammersmith and City (Pink) lines and the nearest DLR station is Shadwell, approx a 6 minute walk, with direct links to the Olympic site as well as Bank (city of London), Tower Gateway (Tower Bridge & the Tower of London) and Canary wharf. Whitechapel will also be part of the anticipated Crossrail route with direct access to Heathrow airport once the works have been completed.

There are also lots of bus connections going into the City of London (if you don’t want to walk the 20 minutes it takes), as well as buses to take you to Fleet Street, Oxford Street and beyond. Canary Wharf is also conveniently accessed either by DLR (overground train) or the bus, or a 30 minute walk along the riverfront. And if you really want to live like a local, there is always the option of hiring one of the thousands of blue (‘Boris’) bikes available in the city centre.

Close by are dozens of old warehouses which used to store the dried goods when they were shipped into London - tea, coffee, tobacco, cotton to name a few - which have all now been turned into luxury apartments.

I leave lots of information in the apartment on places to go and things to do, both locally and further afield, so you'll always have something to do or see!

. An old Bell Foundry which has been there over 500 years (where the bells for Big Ben were made)

. Set in the middle of where the old 'rag trade' used to have it's factories and shops

. St Katherine Docks (marina, restaurants) and dozens of restaurants, fast food outlets, bars, shops and parks

. There are also three supermarkets within a 2 - 4 minute walk
