The England region

Whether you arrive in London by tube, by train, inside one of the city's ubiquitous black cabs or on the top of a double decker bus, you'll immediately realise that although this city has been around for nearly 2000 years and has a deep sense of history, it retains a youthful exuberance and unique vibrancy that's hard to beat.

Today London promises something for everyone and almost inevitably, it delivers. There are unmissable galleries and museums, most of which, amazingly, are completely free, as well as a treasure trove of unique and quirky hidden gems which are just waiting to be discovered. Don't forget either, that the glorious parks and gardens covering this greenest of capital cities are also free to explore, and we haven'R>

Central London/Zone 1

King’s Cross / St Pancras is an extremely convenient central London location with an excellent network of transport links to local, national and international destinations via the underground, public buses, trains and the Eurostar.

The district has experienced extensive development and astounding transformation over the past few years and it’s certainly worth taking time to discover the vibrant area surrounding this historic location. The area is now home to an increasing number of attractions and cultural institutions, including the Canal Museum, the Foundling Museum, the cutting-edge Gagosian Gallery and the British Library, which exhibits some of the world’s most renowned written and printed works, such as the Magna Carta (1215).

A number of theatres, including the Shaw Theatre and the Bloomsbury Theatre can also be found close by. With the opening of Kings Place even more cultural activity stimulated the area and hosts a variety of music, live, comedy and cultural events throughout the year.

King’s Cross is also in close proximity to vibrant neighborhoods such as Islington, Camden and Bloomsbury and as such is not only within easy reach of London’s commercial and financial quarters, but also at a close proximity to the main tourist hubs such as Covent Garden, the British Museum and the West End shopping, making it a very popular choice for both business and leisure visits.

“Great for visiting London”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2012

Very convenient for buses and trains, Eurostar in particular. Good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Well serviced and very comfortable. Superb shower! We were met by Alex who showed us around the apartment and explained everything to us.

Thanks for your review and it's lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay.

“Nicely decorated flat and very central”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2012

We stayed here for a week in June and it was a really good find. The flat is ideal for 2 people but not any more than that as it's quite bijou. There's a huge flat screen tv with sky sports and movies which was awesome for me. The wife liked the kitchen - very smart! We both thought the shower room was great and plenty of room. The bedroom is a little small but with some very nice furniture. All in all pretty good value and we could get into the west end (four stops on the tube from Kings Cross) and walked back a couple of times after the pub which took about half and hour. There's 4 or 5 pubs in the surrounding streets as well if you fancy going out more locally - we tried Chad's Place and The Kings Cross Social Club (they do really nice cider - Rikorderling?) !

Thank you for your review and we're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. We hope you'll come to stay again sometime!
