The London region
Just outside the buzz and bustle of Central London, the Greater London area has some great boroughs in which to stay. The leafy residential streets of suburbs such as Notting Hill and Dulwich are a short journey from London's main attractions, but they offer a bit of peace and quiet after a day's sightseeing.
London has been called a ‘world in one city’ and you will soon start to believe it spending only a few days in this capital of England and the United Kingdom. It is the UK’s largest and most populous metropolitan area with history tracing back to its founding by the Romans.
Central London/Zone 1
Can't get closer to the action than here! You're right on the doorstep of the Tower of London (and the Crown Jewels), Tower Bridge, Spitalfields Markets, Brick Lane, HMS Belfast (for all those naval addicts!) is on the Thames River, just a 10 minute walk away... not to mention a whole bunch of other tourist attractions.
Nestled in between the two financial districts (The City and Canary Wharf), my apartment is situated on a quiet one-way street and yet it has hundreds of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, gyms, parks, tennis courts and other fitness facilities all within a short walking distance. And ever so close to the Olympics grounds so you can see all the works going on in preparation for 2012!!

"Rachel's is Like Visiting a Friend"
You could not ask for better than staying at Rachel’s flat in London. It is exactly like coming to visit a friend. This will be a bit long but you will see how you get exactly what is advertised and how great all of the extras at her place are. Everything about Rachel’s is so very convenient. You are a few minutes walk to the nearby food store with both take-away and sit down restaurants nearby. For getting about, the bus route is right up the street and there are two tube stations. To do the tourist thing, catch any bus tours from right in front of the Tower of London an easy few minutes stroll away. You can also catch cabs right close by at the end of the block. The interior of the 2nd floor apartment is neat, clean and modern. Both bedrooms are roomy with large closets and plenty of drawer space. You have an en suite off the master. The amenities of a full kitchen allow you to have a relaxing dinner in while enjoying the ever so comfortable dining area/family room combination. Rachel leaves lovely treats for you to enjoy upon your arrival. When you walk into the apartment there is a vase filled with fresh flowers. We had lovely English roses in ours and there was a guest book with lots of messages from other happy travelers who have passed through. After you unpack, there is nice bottle of wine left for you to sip and a tasty basket of assorted British goodies like crisps and chocolates. So you don’t have to run out and shop right away for your morning cup of coffee she leaves a fresh jug of milk in the fridge. Rachel has makes sure you have lots of little extras to make your stay at her place special. Look in the hallway drawers and in the dining room cupboard and you’ll find brochures for everything to do in London and the nearby area. There are local area street maps for walking, bus maps and route schedules and tube maps showing the subway locations. You will find several good, up to date travel books for the entire UK on the coffee table or in the drawers. There are fluffy, folded towels ready for the post travel refreshing shower with herbal scented shower shampoos and conditioners. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and would recommend this to anyone traveling to London. Rachel’s place is reasonably priced, conveniently located and very comfortable. We hope she keeps this place available for renting so we can stay there for our next trip.

"Very nice apartment, always felt safe and secure, close to amenities and points of interest."
My family stayed here for our Christmas vacation. The booking process was easy and check-in was convenient. The kitchen was stocked with a few basics upon our arrival. This was a very nice surprise as the shops were closed when we arrived and the day after. The view form the rooftop terrace was nice and provided a few photo ops. We will definately look to stay again if we plan a future trip to London.
