The property is well located for visitors arriving from Heathrow airport being five minutes walk from Piccadilly line stations. Visitors using Eurostar are particularly well catered for as this is ten minutes on the tube. Many of London's attractions are easy to reach. Places such as Camden Lock (ten minutes bus journey), Covent Garden, Leicester Sq. (ten minutes tube journey), Houses of Parliament (25 minutes tube journey), British Museum (twenty minutes bus journey), St. Pauls Cathedral, British Museum, Tate Gallery etc.

Despite this the apartment is quiet and the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of London's crowded and noisey streets. Our past guests have commented on this and how comfortable it is. So don't delay, book today!

The apartment has been furnished with good quality furniture all of which are from sustainable sources or antique. The bed linen provided (sheets, duvets and pillow covers) are organic as are the mattresses and towels. They are very comfortable with a high thread count, and significant weight to be soft and fluffy : )

The main bedroom has a King Size bed which is 150cm wide and 200cm long. Each bed is provided with 2 pillows per person. The living room has a day bed which can be used as a sofa during the day, but has a standard single mattress 90cm wide and 190cm long. A mattress topper and protector are also provided for comfort and hygiene. We believe this to be more comfortable and convenient than a sofa bed and guests agree even those with back problems.

There are 2 TV's, one in the Living Room, another in the Bedroom.

We are as committed to using ecologically sustainable materials as we are to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

We provide 3 bins for guests to separate their waste into recyclables, food waste (composted in our garden) and non recyclables so that only the minority of waste goes to landfill.

Now using 100% renewable electricity and a gas provider that is committed to using all it's profits to invest in renewable energy.

Whether you think these factors are important or not of course doesn't matter the apartment looks great, its clean, well maintained, equipped and perfectly located. The London region

London is the most international of British cities. In fact it's one of the most international of the world's cities!!!!! More languages spoken here than New York so put that in your pipe and smoke it Alicia Keys! I love London!

We are well located for touring the city and as stated below we have our own local attractions but most of the cities great and most famous attractions are easy to get to from here. Buckingham Palace, The Tate Modern, The British, Natural History and Science Museums.

The Southbank and Barbican Arts Centre's, Soho, Trafalgar Square, Kew Gardens, Picadilly Circus, St Pauls Cathedral and the City of London itself. Tube and Bus Services are excellent and bus stops with services running 24hrs a day are a short walk 50 and 150m's depending on the bus. So just come! What are you waiting for?

Central London/Zone 1

There are many things to see and do in the local area. The emirates stadium home to Arsenal FC is within walking distance and offers tours and a large shop of memorabilia. Camden Market is also a short bus ride away (ten minutes) as are London Zoo and Regents Park.

There are also two local parks of significance though Highbury Fields, where some of houses facing the park appeared in the film Notting Hill and has tennis courts. Finsbury Park also has tennis courts, a running track and also offers boating. They both have good adventure playgrounds which are free of charge. There is also a swimming pool by Highbury Fields.

The Highgate Area offers a range of quirky cafe's and restaurants catering for the areas artistic and intellectual residents (many actors, lecturers and retired civil servants live here) the area is also home to another charming Park called Waterlow which used to belong to one man not long ago which is hard to believe when you go there because it's not small!

Highgate is also where George Michael (the popstar in case you don't know) crashed his car while under the influence of a herbal cigarette and was sent to a local not so glam prison.

The park is next to the Highgate Cemetary which also offers tours due to its famous residents including Karl Marx whose grave has a huge bust of him. There are many sirs and Professors buried here as well as a number of other historical figures so worth checking out.

Hamstead is also nearby (short bus ride), an uber fashionable area where many famous international names live the park is really beautiful at all times of year and there are many pubs and cafes to visit afterwards to soak up the atmosphere. In the other direction is Hoxton and Shoreditch areas which are currently the most popular places for Londoners to go clubbing and drinking (the west end is more the preserve of out of towners and tourists in my humble opinion) if it's your thing then you should visit on the weekend. There are also excellent restaurants in the area it's very trendy what camden used to be before it became a tourist destination.

"An excellent place"

Clean, quiet, large. Excellent host. Very convenient to the Holloway Station on the Piccadilly tube line. LHR 55 minutes, St. Pancras, 8 minutes. Close to shopping, laundromat, dry cleaners, affordable dining. An excellent alternative to B&B and hotels. It is literally a home away from home in London. We will definitely stay there again.

"Great flat, in great location!"

"Return visit - just as good as first time"

This was our second stay (both times we have stayed for two weeks) at this great apartment and I would happily return again. Michael is a perfect host and arranging booking was easy and he was very helpful during our stay. The flat is superb - the day bed in the living room is also very good to sleep on and the main bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable bed. The location is convenient - the Piccadilly line tube (direct from Heathrow) is just few minutes walk away and there are good shops and amenities around the corner. There is no washing machine at the apartment but we used the laundrette and dry cleaners just around the corner so that was not a problem.

"A wonderfully comfortable apartment with all the trimmings in Central London"

Excellent apartment suitable for three people situated in the vibrant community of Holloway near the centre of this great city, 5 minutes to underground and 1 minute to bus, supermarket and shopping. Travelling through Europe for a month, my daughter and I arrived in London on the Eurostar from Paris for the final few days of our trip. This excellent home away from home is conveniently situated on the Piccadilly Line near Holloway Rd Station and is easily found just a short walk away. Michael, Springfield's host is generous with his local knowledge and went out of his way to accommodate any requests during our stay, it was a pleasure to arrange the booking and he confirmed all transactions promptly. The apartment was exactly as pictured in all advertising, beautifully furnished and the lovely extras were appreciated, the kingsize bed and the single sofa bed in the lounge are very comfortable and the linen was of good quality. I cannot fault Springfield, clean, modern, bright, great location with an excellent host and incredible value for money.

"Faultless, perfect accommodation and very helpful owner"

We chose Springfield in a rush after being letdown by another owner at last minute, but I'm sure she did us a favour in the end as Springfield and Michael live up to their great reviews and more. As we were keen to find somewhere quickly our choice was based on trip advisor reviews,and we were not disappointed. The flat is beautifully furnished and very spacious (for myself, hubby and teenage son) with all you need for an oasis of calm in a hectic city! The quality of linen, duvets and towels is far better than hotels we have stayed in and the flat was comfortably warm with plenty of hot water. Not knowing the area it was even better to discover how quick and easy it was to get into town from Holloway Rd on Picadilly line, yet once inside the flat the city could have been miles away as it was so peaceful.

I was in London for a week at the end of august with my husband and child. We all liked this flat, as it was very nice, clean, comfortable, next to tube station and shops. It is on the first floor, while Michael's mum lives downstairs, where he was waiting for us. The house is in a beautiful quarter, near the Arsenal Stadium and the Piccadily Line, so we could easily reach each part of the town. Moreover, Michael has been very kind. Just one suggestion: to remove or fix better the curtain shower in the bathroom; sometimes it has fallen down! However, our jorney was so lovely. So we'll surely recommend this flat to our friends!

"A beautiful apartment in an ideal location."

I'd recommend Springfield to anyone. It is beautiful, in an ideal location, unlimited wifi and has parking if required. Five minutes walk to the underground, so London is your Oyster (pun intended). Michael and his family were really helpful and made us feel at home. Our stay in London was enhanced by this accommodation.

"Great Flat"

Stayed with my wife and adult son at the flat and there was plenty of room. It was clean, tidy and described as advert. It was only 5 minutes walk to tube station with 2 stops to Kings X. Good Wetherspoons pub for food at the end of the road. Overall, a great flat and location.
