With a flat-screen TV, wooden floors, leather armchairs, an animal skin rug, a marble fireplace and a mirrored cube side table, this room makes for a stylish retreat. Head out of the French doors and you will find the pretty garden, with slate steps, flower beds and a seating area – ideal for al fresco dining in the summer months.

At the front of the property is the kitchen and dining room. Here there are wooden fitted cupboards and worktops, large windows and a good selection of amenities including a hob, oven and grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a table and chairs for dining too. You'll also find a utility room on the ground floor with a washing machine/tumble dryer, and a guest loo as well.

Upstairs and at the back of the property is the spacious master bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a cream chair beside the Juliet balcony which looks over the garden. At the front there's a second twin bedroom with junior size beds. The third bedroom is an adult's single room.

The family bathroom on this floor has smart stone-coloured tiling and grey walls, wooden cupboards, a bath tub, a separate shower unit, a sink and a loo.

This family home is in a fantastic location in North London near Hampstead. It is a 7 minute walk to Hampstead village with its many boutique shops, pubs and cafes. Parliament Hill in particular (the Southeast corner of the Heath) has some fantastic views of London, all the way from Canary Wharf to the London Eye. On Hampstead Heath, you'll find a paddling pool, a swimming pool and the Hampstead pond if freshwater swimming pools take your fancy!

If you are looking for more of a relaxed low-key vibe, Belsize village is just a 10 minute walk away.

The London region

Hampstead is an area of Northwest London with a touch of class and a relaxed, countryside feel – perfect for families. Hampstead Village is home to some of the city's oldest pubs, and has a range of cafes for afternoon tea, bakeries, patisseries, fishmongers and more. There's a traditional essence to life amid the leafy streets, whilst the centre of the Capital is within very easy reach. It is a very wealthy area, with many celebrities, artists and musicians choosing to settle here in the many stately period homes.

There are theatres, art galleries and museums such as Keats House, the Freud Museum and Kenwood House - a beautiful Regency home with large gardens, and host to a gallery of Vermeer and Rembrandt pieces, and opera every summer. Hampstead Heath, and particularly Parliament Hill at its Southeast corner, has stunning views of the city's skyline from the London Eye to Canary Wharf, as well as the farmer's market every Saturday has fresh produce and artisan foods on offer which makes for a relaxed morning out with the children too.

Heading South you'll find the quaint village of Primrose Hill which sits alongside Regent's Park, the canal and has lots of one-off shops and cafes to enjoy.
