It contains three recently refurbished bright and spacious one-bedroom flats on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors overlooking King Street to the front and the pretty St Pauls Churchyard to the rear. It lies equidistant from Covent Garden and Leicester Square Underground Stations.
Each apartment can sleep up to four people – two in the bedroom and two on a comfortable sofa-bed in the lounge area. These areas also contain a table, four chairs and a flat-screen TV. A fifth person can stay in apartments one and two with an optional fold out bed (£40 per stay). There is a maid service (Mon-Friday) excluding weekends and bank holidays.
Our flats all have modern shower-rooms (shower, hand basin and toilet) and fully fitted and equipped kitchen facilities.
Covent Garden lies in the heart of Central London and was originally home to London's fruit and vegetable market. It is now the hub of London's Theatreland and other important entertainment venues, the most important of which is the imposing Royal Opera House in Drury Lane. Most venues lie within five to ten minutes' walk of our apartments.
Covent Garden houses the London Transport Museum and most of London's tourist attractions- including the London Eye,- lie within easy travelling distance.
A wealth of street entertainment can be found in the famous Piazza. The former Market Building now contains an exotic mix of small shops, cafés and bars as well as the famous Apple Market stalls selling antiques, jewellery, clothing and gifts. Whilst King Street now contains the largest 'Apple' computer store, by contrast, Neal Street, Neal's Yard and Seven Dials and many of the neighbouring streets are littered with independent retailers selling a large selection of interesting and unusual items.
The area contains a very large number of old pubs as well as a wide variety of restaurants bars and cafés to suit every taste. There are also several supermarkets for those who wish to cater for themselves.
Our apartments all lie within a few minutes' walk of either Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line) and / or Leicester Square (Northern Line) Underground stations as well as many public bus routes.

“Location, Location, Location”
6 King Street is located in Covent Garden, literally seconds from the piazza. The location could not be better. You are in the heart of London. You can walk to most major attractions from here, the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, The Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, as well as many smaller attractions. If you don't want to walk you have Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Charing Cross, and Embankment Tube stations within easy reach, allowing you acess to Picadilly Line, District and Circle, as well as Bakerloo and Northern lines. There are many many restaurants, pubs, groceries, banks, everything you could possibly need right outside your door. The negative side of this location is how very central it is. Friday and Saturday nights in Covent Garden can be pretty loud. The bedroom however faces the churchyard and is relatively quiet. The front room faces King Street and beyond revelers, there is a lot of reno going on in the street with one job looking like it will be going on quite a while. My teenage son slept on the coach there and sleeps like the dead so it didn't bother him. There is a lovely harmonica player who can help minimize some of the noise with a haunting rendition of Moon River or Somewhere Over the Rainbow, but if you are a real light sleeper the front room will be a challenge. The flat itself has just about everything you'll need. The only thing I missed was a dryer. There is a washing machine but it doesn't dry, though they do give you a drying rack. The stove and oven were great. There is a dishwasher. They do provide dishwasher soap which is nice but not laundry detergent. There are plenty of plates and glasses. The towels are changed every three days and the linens, once a week. There is maid service every day except weekends. They didn't come too early so no pressure to be up and out. The WiFi was good. The TV takes a minute to warm up so turn the power on with both remotes and just give it a minute, it will get a picture. The bed is really quite comfortable but it doesn't have a box spring and is low to the ground if that is an issue for you. The couch in the front room was pretty comfortable if you like a firm mattress, which I do. There is a indentation down the middle, but plenty comfortable for your kids. Probably the biggest negative is the bathroom. The shower is this small pod structure and there is plenty of hot water and water pressure but it is small. The sink is however the real issue. It is so shallow and narrow. To add to that the faucet is a large hook that takes over the whole area. The medicine cabinet isn'tflush to the wall so watch your head coming up from the sink. Finally a nonfunctioning towel warmer juts from the wall to take what little sink space there is left. Washing your face in that sink is a real challenge. You might want to bring a wash cloth to make it easier. Wash cloths weren't provided. Whoever designed the layout of the bathroom should be forced to use it for a couple weeks. But it is short term and so a little inconvenience can be survived. Everything is clean and maintained. The only other negative might be the 55 steps to the flat. I say might be because my butt came back looking pretty good after three weeks of those stairs, but if you are older or have breathing problems or mobility issues they're going to be a problem. Try getting flat 1A or 1 for fewer stairs. Indigo Flats, Sarah, was great. Everything was handled easily, professionally and promptly. She was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely rent from them again. Overall you really can't beat this location. You'll get to see every street performer in Covent Garden. If what you want is peace and quiet maybe try the Cotswolds or Lake District, but if you want to be in the heart of London this is the place.
“Excellent apartment, great location!”
Lovely apartment in which it was easy to access and get into, liked the use of a safe to pick up apartment keys, takes away the hassle of checking in! The apartment itself was lovely, spotlessly clean, spacious and lovely decorating. Location was brilliant, right next to Covent garden square and market, and a mere 10 minute walk to the London eye/London dungeons/sea life aquarium and other attractions. Definitely recommend, had a lovely couple of days in London :)
“Dans le quartier chic de Covent garden”
super appartement!!
“Great location, accommodation and communication.”
The accommodation was very clean and nicely decorated - located in the heart of Covent Garden. Friendly maid service each day. Good communication with the owner - will certainly return!
“Great location, clean and quiet, great value for money.”
We stayed 8 days in this perfictly located apartment from which you can walk to all the atractions of London. Good transport connection to Heathrow and all other points in London as it is close to Trafalgar and Picadilly. Sleeping room is perfectly quiet. Only minus point are the stairs, but it is a central London and a period building so it could be expexted. Great value for money.
“In the middle of the action”
The apartment at 6 King Street Covent Garden is only a 150 steps or so from the Piazza in Covent Garden and central to everything - about 5 minutes walk to Leicester Square and about 8 minutes to Regent Street, 5 minutes to Trafalgar Square so is in the middle of all the action Flat 2 is on the second floor and there are 57 steps to reach it. We enjoyed our 8 day visit, the bed was comfortable and the apartment nice and clean with a maid service included in the price. The equipment was a bit lacking - much of it was missing ie there were only two mugs and no cups for an apartment for four and there was no dryer as listed only a drying rack but washing did dry quickly on it. I would say they need to keep an eye on equipment and make sure they have quantities as listed on the inventory. They supplied dishwashing tablets for the dishwasher when asked. There is no problem with noise as referred to in a previous review - sitting in the lounge in the evening you can hear a little noise from the street but when you shut the 2 doors between the kitchen and bedroom it's like being in a quiet oasis of calm - admittedly sometimes in the night you might hear a clock chime but you are in the centre of London. If you are so sensitive a pair of silicone earplugs fixes this but we didn't use ours. We were a little concerned sending 1200 pounds to Medworth Investments (we dealt with Sarah) but our security deposit was refunded promptly with no issues. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay in central London.
“Better than I could have imagined!”
This place has location, service and comfort. You can't get any closer to the heart of London and although the tube is right there its easier to walk to just about everything. From the booking right through to the deposit refund it was simple, great communication from Sarah and Jo. We didn't want to leave but we plan to come back in 2 years and we won't look any further for accommodation. Great value also, a must for any London traveller who doesn't want to spend time on transport.
