London has a great number of possibilities. Firstly, there are the museums. Then the theatres. Night life ranges from pubs and bars to late night clubbing. Of course, there are an increasing number of great restaurants.

Museums to visit include Madam Tussards, Natural History and Science, Imperial War and Design.

Art Galleries include the Tate Modern and Britain, Saatchi,

The West End offers the best in Theatre entertainment. And there are large capacity cinemas too.

Otherwise, you could simply decide to have a walk around the city and see the sites and sounds.

Central London/Zone 1

Elephant & Castle is due to have extensive changes to its infrastructure. From where you are and also from the Elephant you can get plenty of buses, overground and underground trains to get you up town.

On the other side, is Surrey Quays which is a new development on the Thames and has plenty of good shops.

There is a large Tesco Superstore 5 minutes walk away from the flat. There is also the newly designed and family friendly Burgess Park nearby where you can have a pleasant walk or play with the children.

You will find that you are in the centre of Town by bus or tube within no more than 20 - 30 minutes (Picadilly, Horse Guards Parade etc).

“Una bella vacanza”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2016

“Spacious apartment in great location”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2014

This apartment was great - very spacious rooms, but also cosy and warm for our winter visit. The location is fantastic - although not terribly close to a tube station, there are many buses available a short distance away (a number of which are 24 hour services). There are also plenty of places for meals around the corner on Old Kent Road, as well as a Tesco supermarket. Recommended.

“Basic standard, quiet area”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2013

Generally basic standard. Helpful owner. Spacious bedrooms with good comfort double beds. Open living/kitchen area with TV+DVD, WiFi, sitting and dining areas. Very simple bathroom, the shower is a plastic curtain inside the bath tub. Not well cleaned. Quite surroundings, very little traffic in street. Several take-outs (mainly Asian) in nearby main street (Old Kent Road), as well as some 24 hr convenience stores, and a Tesco. Bus or walk to Elephant and castle for Underground. Taxi to Trafalgar Sq 12-15 GBP.

“Good location for exploring London”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2012

We were four adults staying for 10 days. Very good and frequent bus connections to all mayor locations in Central London, Tower Bridge is in walking distance. Several Shops including Tesco and Lidl are nearby. The appartment is well equipped, tidy and clean with spacious rooms. Good and easy wifi/internet access. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we would recommend this flat to everyone. Easy and nice communication with landlord Gavin. Easy check-in and -out. Thank you Gavin for being your guests.

“Confortable and convenient”

Reviewed 7 Feb 2012

We were four adults and a child and stayed all Christmas Holidays and New Year Eve and Day. We felt like at home. the kitchen was well equipped and there's a Lydl and a Tesco store very near, not to say of all the 24h shops in the neighbourhood. the house is exactly the same as you can see in the pictures. you can walk to the nearest tube station or get the bus to almost anywhere, even walk to the Tower Bridge. We liked the flat a lot and I would recommend it to everyone. And Gavin is helpful and nice.

“Nice and clean apartment in a little shabby neighbourhood”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2011

We were pleased to find such a nice and clean apartment in a big city like London. The price was very moderate if you compare to the hotel prices. The wooden floors were much better than fitted carpet! The apartment was spacious, beds were comfortable, and there was enough equipments in the kitchen for one to make a breakfast. There were a couple of shops nearby where you could buy grocery. The only disruption during our stay was the poor soundproof of the house and ongoing party in the neighbour. Even if the neighbourhood or the house were not of the first class, the apartment was good. However, the location was good. It was easy to get to the city centre by bus or by tube.

“Exellent stay”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2011

The House was very clean, it had all the appliances. Gavin (landlord) was very nice and friendly. Apartment is only 2 minutes from bus station and the bus (343 towards City hall) takes only 5-7 minutes to Elephant and castle tube station. Neighborhood is very nice and silent. The apartment had 2 big rooms and a kitchen with living room and bathroom as well. Everything is just as described so I really recommend this House for letting. Thanks to Gavin

“Good location and convinient price for an apartment with three large rooms”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2011

The apartment is large, well equiped, has a good location and in 15 minutes you can be in center of London by bus, day and night. Tesco supermarket is very close, 5 minutes away. The owner is very kind and willing to help. We had a great time in this location and we had everything that we need for our vacantion.

“Great place to stay!”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2011

Very nice appartment, large, clean, very well situated in the neighbouhood of shops and a direct busline downtown. Gavin was very kind and helpful. When we go to London again we're sure to go back to this place!

“Good value for money”

Reviewed 30 May 2011

Besides little time on the bus or subway to the center everything is good about it. The owner is very polite and caring. Didn't bother us at all during our ten days stay. Area around the apartment is not great, but understandable knowing other prices closer to the center. If ever come back to London again, would have no problem returning to the same spot.
