Edificio da Nora is recognized as one of the more exclusive apartment blocks in the lovely old town of Lagos; the apt. is close to the marina, beaches, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets, this spacious, (167 sq. meters) luxurious, the private apartment occupies a corner site on the fifth floor and has two large balconies. The complex includes interior tropical gardens, outdoor gardens, indoor health suite, indoor private garages, and storeroom and a private children' s play park. This apartment (fully air-conditioned) is beautifully furnished and fitted out to the highest quality The spacious lounge/formal dining area has double patio doors leading to a large south facing terrace with BBQ for dining alfresco and is furnished with table and chairs and relaxing sun loungers. The lounge has a very comfortable large cream leather corner sofa and an elegant dining table with high backed turquoise velour chairs set against a backdrop of a beautiful stone wall; A 46' flat screen, showing all UK, Irish, European and USA channels, box sets, catch up, etc. + DVD The master bedroom has a huge super king bed with tempura mattress, own private balcony & bathroom; & fitted wardrobes. Two twin bedrooms have large single beds & fitted wardrobes, they share a bathroom complete with Jacuzzi bath & shower. The modern kitchen is fully fitted with high standard units, freezer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, etc. The kitchen is equipped with all facilities for the discerning cook should guests prefer to eat in. This apartment is certified by the Portuguese Touristic License Authority for all health & safety regulations. This modern, luxurious apartment is ideal for those who enjoy the good things in life. It is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Marina and the town center, a car is not a necessity. A private parking space in the indoor garage alongside a storage room for your sports equipment means you can walk into the old town of Lagos and explore some of the finest restaurants in the Algarve. This is an ideal property for both winter and summer breaks., Meia Praia beach is 15 mins.walk away, a blue flag stretch of golden sand and one of the longest and most spectacular beaches in the Algarve, other beaches close by including Porto de Mos, Praia Dona Ana. Lagos offers a balance of the charm and history of the Portuguese culture to please the desires of the most discerning tourist. The warmth of Lagos and her people make it difficult to resist falling in love with this special place. Lagos is a fantastic, historical, vibrant town in western Algarve dating back 2000 BC. The Old town area is circled by the city walls, cobbled streets, museums, markets, and restaurants to suit all tastes with lots of entertainment to suit all ages. In the middle of town, is Praça de Gil Eanes square, this is often the setting for evening entertainment throughout the year - a comical unicyclist, live music or a medieval fair are just some of the events to enjoy. If Portugal are playing football, or there is a major competition on, the cafes will have big screens up in the square and everyone joins in the excitement (very good-naturedly as well). The beautiful promenade leads to the 450+ berth Euromarine Anchor award Marina Lagos has stunning views, from the Ponte da Piedade (in front of the lighthouse) you get a fantastic view of the sweeping sands of Lagos bay with the Monchique mountains as a backdrop, and you can see all the way to Sagres to the west and Albufeira to the east..

Getting around

Lagos train station is 10 mins walk from the apartment. The bus station is 5 mins. walk from the apartment. Numerous buses to take you anywhere along the Algarve and a bus to Lisbon runs regularly takes about 2.5 hours to get there. We have used this bus, very comfortable and ac. It is a very cheap way to travel. The train to Portimao and onwards goes along the beach so the views are spectacular, however, the train does tend to be a bit outdated, going back in time. It takes 15 mins. on the train to Portimao, only a few euros. Should you wish to hire a car there are numerous companies and driving is relatively easy, motorway all the way from Faro airport to Lagos.

Very Good

“A real home from home.”

This is a lovely, spacious well equipped apartment conveniently situated for walking to the Marina and old town. Lagos is a wonderful place for a holiday and we have been coming here for several years. Lots of lovely restaurants and glorious beaches. We spent all of February here and loved this apartment which is very comfortable. Particularly liked the sunny balconies. Even in the winter one of them will have the sun for much of the day. Jacqui the owner is very helpful and Carlos the agent is great. It's good to know there is somebody to help with any problems. You don't need a car here but there is good parking available. We love trips up the West coast to the amazing beaches. Silves is another favourite. Great apartment, great holiday. Didn't want to leave.

“Excellent holiday accommodation in Lagos”

From the moment we stepped in to the apartment we knew we’d make a good choice. Pictures on the web are very accurate however being there in person even better than expected. Local property manager was there to meet us on arrival, friendly and very quickly helped us settle in. Made himself available throughout the stay but in truth we never needed to call on his services because we had all we needed. Property was clean on arrival and maid service half way through our 14 day stay more than adequate. Air conditioning within the apartment worked well and was very welcome with outside temperatures reaching 30+. Beds all comfortable with no one in the party grumbling about aches and pains in the morning, which can’t be said for some of the apartments I’ve stayed at in the past. Outside eating on the large terrace very enjoyable, as was the use of the built in BBQ. Lidl supermarket is literally outside the front door of the apartment block so groceries and drinks could quickly be replenished. A further supermarket in just down the road on the way to the water front, giving further choice. We hired a car for visiting areas outside of Lagos however restaurants and bars in the marina and town centre areas were only a 10-15 minute walk away. Nearest beach is a little bit of a trek and there is no external pool at this apartment so it may not suit everyone to stay here however it is a well-furnished luxury apartment and provides excellent holiday accommodation and I would willing stay there again, it was amazing.

Great place to stay when visiting Lagos. Good location with parking and the apartment was fab. Highly recommend. Jacqui was really good to deal with and made planning our trip much easier. We had a small baby with us and Jacqui and Carlos met all our needs.Thanks!

The photos do not do this wonderful apartment justice. Have stayed in Lagos many times. This was definitely the best place. The quality of fittings and furniture are of a very high standard. It is spacious and has everything needed for a great holiday. Loved the large lounge area with the L shaped sofas and large TV. We adored large super king bed with tempura mattress, what a great nights sleep! Well equipped balconies for dining and sun bathing and get the sun all day. Good location, just 10 mins walk to town centre and close to supermarkets. The town of Lagos has numerous restaurants and all of a such a high standard you will be spoiled for choice. We loved No Patio, not far from the castle walls.   Everything about this apartment was exemplary, its location, the space and the fittings and furnishings.  A beautiful interior tropical garden greets you when you step inside the building. Will most definitely return to apt 5 at Nora. Thank you Jacqui and Terry. .

This is a really beautiful apartment, modern, elegant, spacious and very well located within the gorgeous coastal town of Lagos. We have returned twice now as we enjoy the luxury of the apartment, the spa facilities and relaxed lifestyle Lagos enjoys with many cafes and lovely restaurants, which cater so well for families. The apartment is home from home with great kitchen facilities and outdoor living space, which is a must for me when self catering with young children. We enjoy family walks to the marina and along the prom, lazy coffees & ice creams and spend time on the fantastic beaches which keeps the children entertained for hours - the Saturday morning market is also well worth a visit, with great local food and flowers for sale. We look forward to returning again soon!

Myself and 5 friends rented this amazing property. It is immaculately clean, furnished to a high standard and is very comfortable. The apartment has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your holiday..........fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. 2 large balconies wIth tables and chairs as well as loungers and a great BBQ! The bedrooms and bathrooms were furnished beautifully to 5* hotel standard. It was centrally located within walking distance of the marina and town centre. We absolutely loved everything about the apartment and town. The owners are very helpful and provided an excellent service. I would recommend this property to all of my friends and family.

I stayed in this amazing apartment with three friends in may 2012. The location is perfect, as it is about !0 mins walk to both town centre and Marina. The interior of building is very impressive. The apartment is so spacious and furnished to a very high standard. The luxurious lounge is perfect for relaxing and formal dining. The 3 bedrooms are also spacious and beautifully furnished. The beds are extremely comfortable. There are 2 large balconies with luxury sunloungers. The apartment was immaculately clean. The owners are very welcoming and helpful I have stayed in a number of places in Lagos, This is the best. We have rebooked for May next year. Thank you Jackie and Terry Anne Maguire N. ireland
