This exclusive and exceptionally large two double bedroom apartment has great floor to ceiling height which allows in plenty of natural light. It is conveniently situated on the first floor with a lift and private garage which is of great benefit after a long day walking or exploring the beautiful City or countryside surrounding Florence. Viale Giovanni Milton is a one way street that is located close to the centre of Florence. The train station is nearby and accessed by walking along Via Santa Caterina D’Alessandria which leads into Via Nazionale. Just off via Nazionale is the famous Mercato Centrale. If you are arriving by car the apartment Viale Giovanni Milton is just off the main road Viale Spartaco Lavagnini (SS67) into Florence. The private garage is behind the apartment and is secured by iron gates that are opened electrically using a key in a control panel. The access to the garage has a height restriction of 1.94m, width 2.1m and length 4.9m. The parking is included in the price. The apartment is just outside the Traffic limited zone. Florentines call this the ZTL, or "Zona Traffico Limitato". It is important to know this to avoid receiving HUGE traffic tickets by driving your car into the zone. So it is great to be able to leave your car in the garage and walk around the center. Nearby is the Piazza dell’ Indipendenza and all the main tourist attractions are within walking distance.

The sitting room has two sofa beds and two arm chairs and a massage chair in which to relax after a fun day exploring the sights. It also has the additional benefit of a separate dining area for you to eat your own home cooked meals, which can be created in the separate kitchen using the fresh ingredients acquired from the nearby Mercato Centrale.

There are two bathrooms one with a shower, w.c, basin and mirror which can be used when in a hurry. The other has a bath in which to relax at the end of the day, with shower attachment, w.c, bidet, sink with mirror. The kitchen in addition to all the cooking utensils has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. Another benefit is that the tall doors open onto a balcony off the kitchen, which is perfect to sit and enjoy a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The sitting room folding doors also open onto a balcony which has fantastic views of the river Mugnone and trees that line its banks. The apartment is close (approximately 5 Minutes walk) to the tram station Strozzi -Fallaci which is the 3rd tram stop from the main Firenze SMN station. The train and bus stations are near the end of Via Nazionale (approximately 15 minutes walk).

Double glazing has been installed to the front and back windows in addition to the rolling shutters outside the windows which can be closed during the day whilst you are out, to keep out the sun to provide a cool apartment on your return and also at night to provide a good nights sleep and keeps any noise out.

The exclusive use of the garage means that the apartment is ideal for people that wish to drive to Florence or have a car whilst there but do not wish to spend an additional 145 euros a week or 30 euros a night for private parking. With this apartment the parking is included within the price. The property has recently been refurbished and additional features provided such as a new air conditioning system, TV, DVD and free WiFi is in the apartment.

Car: not necessary

Close to the apartment is the Mercato Centrale which is the best place to buy fresh and delicious food off via Nazionale and also near to San Lorenzo Market. Closer still is the Galleria dell'Accademia off Piazza di San Marco that is an art museum with Michelangelo sculptures, including David, plus Renaissance painting & Russian icons. The exhibition centre is also a short walk away at Fortezza da Basso. The apartment is located to allow you to walk to all the main tourist attractions and at the same time retreat to avoid the other tourists that are visiting the sites into a local neighbourhood. Just over the river Mugnone is the Horticultural gardens (Giardino dell'Orticultura, Via Vittorio Emanuele II, Firenze).

“Very spacious 2 bed apartment in central Florence location”

We were met by Elisa who showed us the apartment. This is a very good size 2 bedroom apartment and is only 15 minutes walk to the historic cathedral square. There are 2 bathrooms each with a toilet, however for one room the toilet is in the shower which means using the toilet after the shower has been used is awkward. There is a new looking good washing machine full size. The electricity in the front bedroom seems to have an issue as on 2 out of the 4 nights the power cut out in the evening in this room only to came back in the middle of the night having done nothing. Elisa did send someone round to check after the 1st night but could find nothing wrong. The garage was useful and is an good size so long as your car is normal size.

Owner's reply: Dear Mike, good to hear that you found the two bedroom apartment a very good size, only 15 minutes walk to the Duomo (Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore) with a useful garage and washing machine. We like the convenience of having two bathrooms with the options of two showers and a bath to provide guests. Nice to hear that Elisa immediately sent an Electrician to check the electricity in the apartment and found nothing wrong. Kind regards William
