Location description from owner

The Tuscany region

Here are the most important/ popular museums and attractions in Florence based on our experience:

Museo Nazionale del Bargello

Galleria degli Uffizi

Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens

- Piazza San Croce- Piazza Santa Croce is one of the most charming, and lively squares on the southeast side of Florence. This is a perfect square to sit and take it all in. The beautiful Basilica makes a stunning back drop for a lazy afternoon Panini, and some down-time!

Oltrarno area, Piazza Santo Spirito

Central Florence

In Florence as in most of Italy, there are time-honoured traditions when it comes to cuisine, etiquette and even the order in which food is served and eaten.

Florentines are no exception to this rule and a traditional meal begins with what is commonly known as antipasti/antipasto (aka appetizers).

Antipasti typically includes crostini mista (basically grilled baguette topped with a variety of toppings such a bruschetta, liver pate and/ or mushrooms), cured meats; typically prosciutto crudo (thinly sliced, uncooked ham) and/ or various salamis, and fresh tomato, mozzarella and basil, etc.

“Best Location”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2016

Great location to explore the key areas of Florence. Everything you will need in an apartment. Very helpful input from the owner. As a family with teenagers we found the space tight but we were never there except to sleep so it was not an issue - we will return..

Owner's reply: Thank you, welcome again !

“Amazing flat to enjoy Florence”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2016

I went to Florence with a friend of mine and we were welcomed to the Patrizia's place, it was a really good chose! She is friendly, helpful and full of tips to eat and visit. The flat is situated in the centre of Florence, next to Ponte Vecchio, near it there are all that you need, supermarket, bar and shop. The flat was very clean, spacius, and provided with all comforts. It was so special spend the holiday there, If I come back to Florence I will find again Patrizia's flat!!! Many thanks

Owner's reply: Thank you Cinzia, you are welcome in Florence anytime!

“Fabulous location”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2015

This Florence apartment is in a perfect position and Patrizia (owner) is just lovely and full of interesting tips and information. You are within walking distance to all major attractions and situated on one of Florence's best tourist strips but the apartment is set back enough to be nice and quiet also. Although fairly basic accommodation, it has everything you need and a location that wants for nothing

Owner's reply: grazie!

“Great location and very comfortable apartment”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2015

Stayed in this apartment for four nights recently. A very comfortable, clean, well equipped apartment. The location is just about three minutes' stroll from the Ponte Vecchio but yet it is very secure and very quiet. There is a balcony with access from the hall and bedroom. Unfortunately, due to the indifferent weather, we never used it. Patrizia was easily contactable with regard to checking in and out, and also very helpful during our stay. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to hand, and also there is an amazing supermarket just round the corner. In fact, the Pitti Palace, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, the Boboli Gardens, to name just a few, are all close by. Would happily use the apartment again in the future.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much, hoping to see you again!

“Great stay! Wonderful apartment and location!”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2015

The owner, Patrizia, was exceptionally responsive and helpful. She went above and beyond during our time in Florence, even shipping some items that we forgot in the apartment back to us! The apartment itself is wonderful- it is very spacious and clean, having every amenity that we needed during our stay. We especially enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony after a busy day in the city! The location is perfect, being just a few minutes walk from the ponte vecchio bridge and many other attractions. We walked everywhere in Florence. The neighborhood is very safe- we were able to find plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner, walking home late at night with no problems. Also great shopping in the area!

“Fantastic location!”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2015

My husband and I have just spent 3 wonderful nights at this location and loved it very much! Close to the centre of everything and some fantastic restaurants and cafes. Only 15 minutes or so from the train station so we hopped in a taxi. Would definately recommend this accommodation and location and hoping to go back again next year.

“Bel Appartement propre, pratique et très bien situé”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2015

Sur un séjour d'une semaine, nous avons apprécié ce bel appartement qui dispose de toutes les commodités. Il se situe idéalement dans le centre historique de Florence (à côté du Ponte Vecchio). Sans oublier notre invité qui a facilité notre séjour et nous a prodigué d'excellents conseils.

“HOME AWAY FROM HOME!”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2015

There aren't enough adjectives to describe just how wonderful our accommodations, the location and our host made us feel. Upon our arrival, Patrizia was waiting in front of the building to show us up. The building was lovely, safe and secure and had a wonderfully quaint elevator (that I now know is called a lift) Moments after entering her apartment, you feel like your home! She is so welcoming, kind and helpful. She provided us with a wealth of information including maps, places to visit, restaurants and transportation. The apartment is in a perfect location to all the must see's in Florence and it has great wifi (which I've learned is essential to travel). If we ever needed anything, Patrizia was always only a quick email away. How did we find this particular Ponte Vecchio gem?...recommendation, of course! My daughter and son-in-law stayed here on their honeymoon travels and loved it... as did we! I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Florence.

“The perfect location”
