The Space

Reach Hall is a beautifully refurbished, three-storey Victorian villa that combines period features with modern convenience. Located in the historic city of Cambridge, Reach Hall sits opposite the River Cam and Jesus Green and is just a short walk from the city centre.

As a large, self-catering property, Reach Hall is perfect for large groups of family, friends or colleagues. It is a great choice of accommodation whether as part of a UK trip, as a work retreat or as a base for those who are in Cambridge on business, looking for more independence during their stay, in a homely environment.

Reach Hall is spacious and extremely flexible, offering up to 10 bedrooms (one of which can alternatively be used as a living room) and able to accommodate up to 34 people.

All bedrooms are newly refurbished though they retain plenty of period features. Each bedroom is suitable for single or double occupancy, and many of the rooms can accommodate up to four people.

All the basics are provided for the kitchen and bathroom – towels, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans etc.

Wifi is available throughout the property, and there is a large fully furnished kitchen and dining area.

THE PRICE SHOWN ON THE WEBSITE INCLUDES THE HOUSE AND UP TO 20 GUESTS FOR ONE NIGHT. There is an additional charge of £60 for each additional guest up to 34 people.

Additional Guests (21 guests+): You can add any number of additional guests (up to 34 guests in total at the property) up to 7 days before your arrival. You can only reduce the number of additional guests in your original booking by a maximum of two guests, and this can be done up to 7 days before your arrival. All amendments and additions must be requested in writing.

We do not accept ‘stag do’ groups.

Please also note that all bookings are subject to a late check-out fee of £100 where applicable.

Guest Access

There is no parking on site at the moment. There are parking bays on the main road (pay and display 50p per 30 min) and parking spaces in the pub car park just across the road (pay and display but with much better rates- £12 per day). The good thing about parking in the pub car park is that "Customers using the pub are entitled to a maximum £2 refund on their parking voucher, subject to a minimum spend."

Interaction with Guests

Guests will be met at the beginning of their stay and when they check out. Guests are free to get in touch at any point during their stay, and I'll do my best to help.

Location description from owner

The England region

Central Cambridge

Located just opposite Jesus Green, Reach Hall is a lovely 10 minute walk by the River Cam into the city centre. Cambridge itself is famed for its University and the colleges that are its embodiment. No visit is complete without a peek at the stunning chapel at King’s College, and there are museums, shops, theatres, cinemas, cafés & restaurants aplenty!

Further afield, you’ll find the beautiful village of Grantchester made famous by poets Lord Byron and Rupert Brooke (within walking distance from the city and ideal for a cream tea in The Orchard Tea Garden!) And if you feel the urge for a trip to the capital (or need to attend a meeting), direct trains run every half an hour to London and will have you there in 45 minutes.

We love Cambridge, and we’re sure you will too – we’re always happy to provide you with information about the local area, and our house manual contains lots of useful information so that you can make the most out of your stay at Reach Hall.

“Perfect for groups, perfect location”

Reviewed 2 Feb 2016

A group of 20 of us stayed for the weekend and we couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The river is over the road, as is a local pub. Cambridge city centre is a stone's throw away, not even a 10 minute walk. The house is clean, well maintained, comes with everything you could think of and Dominika is more than helpful when making arrangements. Parking is a very small issue based on the size of the house/number of cars in the group but none of us had a problem getting parked, I would recommend having lots of change ready for the parking as when we stayed the machines didn't take card payments. I would stay again and if you are in Cambridge with family or a large group take my advice and see if you can get booked in at Reach Hall.

“Amazing comfort in the heart of Cambridge”

Clean, lovely house overlooking Jesus Green. Large kitchen, spacious room and efficient check in service.

“Beautifully renovated property in excellent location”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2015

I had a lovely time staying in this newly renovated property, which is ideally located - just a 5 minute walk from Cambridge city centre, and the walk is really nice! The property is great for big groups, and the rooms are really flexible (can be twin/ double/ for families etc). The host Dominika had thought of everything, and was really helpful!

“Great location, perfect for self-catering with large group”

Reviewed 18 May 2015

Some colleagues and I stayed at Reach Hall for an away weekend, and had a great trip. The house is massive (you can't really see from the photo of the front, but it goes back much further than you think) - plenty of space for everyone, and enough kitchen and dining space for us to easily self-cater. The property is clearly very well looked after and maintained (very clean and well-presented), the real bonus here is the location - right across the river from Jesus Green and only a 5-10 minute walk to the city center and a great local pub, the Maypole. Being so central was great - we could explore easily on foot (we noticed on day 1 that cabs are expensive in Cambridge, so was nice to be able to walk and save the money). We walked along the river and fed the ducks, played some soccer on the green, and went into town to check out the amazing old colleges there and grab a few drinks. That said, there are a couple of great places to eat and drink right round the corner (2mins walk) - a couple of restaurants, several pubs (one with live music on an evening), some take-out places, and a small supermarket. We also really enjoyed the little courtyard with picnic bench out back. Nice for the early risers to be able to grab a coffee and eat breakfast outside in the sun! Overall, great location, excellent amenities (thanks for the selection of teas in the kitchen!), and a hassle-free booking process. 100% recommend.
