“What a fantastic weekend!!”

Reviewed 21 Nov 2017

We stayed at The Old Rectory for my hen do in November this year, we stayed Friday until Sunday with 6 of my friends and we had a fantastic stay! Joey the owner was so helpful, friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had before we arrived. Joey met us at the house on the Friday to hand us the keys and she had decorated the kitchen with balloons and left us some prosecco which was so thoughtful, she also left us a welcome pack with breakfast and bits which was lovely. The house was immaculate, spotless and finished to such a high standard, the beds were really comfy and we felt at home instantly! The house was in a handy central location. On the Sunday Joey got in contact in the morning to check everything was ok and let us check out a bit later which really helped us have a stress free morning after our night it on the Saturday. Joey also let us keep our bags in the lounge to pick up later before our train which was so helpful as we were then able to go for a lovely walk in the morning to The Crescent. Joey defiantly goes above and beyond and I would love to stay here again! I would highly recommend staying here!! Thanks again Joey! x

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for writing such a lovely review and we are so pleased your stay was such a success.

“Best stay ever”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2017

I had booked this for a hen party, there was a mixture of older and younger guests. The house was amazing everyone was in awe. There were decorations up for the bride, a personalised card and goodies. The House was so well decorated and lots of little touches which made the stay all the better. The location is fantastic walking distance to the centre and all the main bars. We could not have picked a better place. Joey was extremely helpful, no ask to great. If I came back to bath I would not look anywhere else. It really helped to make the weekend! Thanks Joey

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for writing such a lovely review - we are very happy that you all enjoyed your weekend.

“Absolutely Perfect!”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2017

Where do I begin? We had a fabulous weekend in Bath for my Hen Do last weekend. We arrived on Friday afternoon to a happy and smiling Joey, who welcomed us into the property. Joey had gone to the effort of decorating the kitchen with bunting and "Team Bride" balloons, as well as leaving a beautiful card for me. So thoughtful. The breakfast, snacks and treats provided were delcious and lasted us (all 7 of us!) all weekend. The house is stunning, clean, modern, bright and airy. I would not hesitate booking here again and advise any one looking to book a venue in bath for a "classy" hen do, this is the perfect place. 5 minute walk to the thermae spa and town centre, really easy to park near the house and very easy to travel around. Only thing to be wary of is that there's lots of stairs in the building and the rooms are spread out over the floors, so if you have a member of your group that would struggle, just to bare this in mind and ensure they get a room closest to the living room/kitchen. Overall, the absolutely perfect venue for my hen weekend, a kind and welcoming host and incredible, speedy service and communication from booking, to travelling home. 5 stars!

Owner's reply: What a wonderful review - thank you so much! We are so happy that your hen do was a success and we wish you all the very best for the future!

Located in centre of Bath close to excellent shopping, historic sites and cafe bars & restaurants offering the best, to suit all tastes. The Old Rectory provides luxurious, scrupulously clean spacious accommodation.we received a most warm welcome on check in and immediately felt at home. The hospitality provisions were both generous and comprehensive meeting all our needs. Prior to our arrival Joey contacted us regarding heating requirements for our party which included two under 3yr children who were supplied with numerous activity & play items in addition to their beautiful cot and bedding David & Joey are excellent hosts !

Owner's reply: Thank you very much! What a lovely review and we are so pleased your stay for your son's wedding went so well. You know you are welcome back anytime!

“Perfect base for weekend away with friends”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2017

I stayed here for a weekend away with old friends. We all commented on how spotless the house was and appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. The bedding and towels, which are plentiful, are all of luxury quality. The photos in the listing are a fair representation of the property. The house is conveniently located for all that Bath has to offer, with attractions such as The Royal Crescent being within easy walking distance. I particularly recommend the nearby Scallop Shell for scampi and chips. Communication with Joey was excellent - she answered all queries quickly and was a pleasure to deal with.

Owner's reply: We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with your friends and hope you will all come and stay again. Thank you very much for your great review!

“Perfect for a convivial group in centre of Bath”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2017

6 of us stayed at The Old Rectory and we wanted somewhere we could chill and chat over breakfast, enjoy all the sights (and tastes) of Bath on our doorstep, and then continue in the evening relaxing in a lovely sitting room. The Old Rectory was, therefore, just perfect for us. The house is very tastefully furnished, the bed linens lovely and everything is sparkling clean. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and just a lovely spot to be. The house location is in central Bath so everything worth seeing and doing is on your doorstep. A special mention and thank you for the welcome pack. It was incredibly generous, great quality produce and choice that got 6 hungry people through two breakfasts and had some treats for later in the day (although not that much later to be fair!). I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your wonderful review - we are very happy that your visit was such a success! Hopefully you will stay again some time in the future.

“The house was clean, charming and close to everything”

The old Rectory was a fantastic spot to stay. we only had one night, and wished it was longer. The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with a great variety of nice snacks and foods. This place will be on the top of our list should we visit Bath again. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your very kind review and we hope you stay again some time in the future.
