The Somerset region
Bath was purpose built as a regal holiday playground in the mid 17th century for the King, his Court, the rich, the famous and the simply indulgent (plus the odd gambler, socialite and drinker).
Just come and carry on the tradition. It’s all still all here, good fun, come rain or shine.
Read your travel book and write tour notes resting on the sweeping lawns of Victoria Park just 25 yards away. Look up to muse over the splendidly imposing Royal Crescent and see an original Ha-Ha Wall on the lawn. Or catch an open-top tour-bus from the pick-up point right there on the corner to see the sights of Bath in comfort and with a guide. Stroll over to No 1 the Royal Crescent and experience how the Georgians really lived or walk 200 yards to the Fashion Museum in the Assembly Rooms to see how they dressed. Reward yourself with afternoon-tea at the Royal Crescent. Then spoil yourself with a choice of fine dining (just ask us), really great theatre for all ages and tastes, a festival of music choices, or just shop till you drop at the best of the west in Bath.
Act young at the crazy golf (or just play on the course up the hill), play tennis at the Club (with lent rackets) or simply stroll round the Botanical Gardens, then take a boat out on the canal or watch the hot air-balloons take-off on all nice warm evenings.

"Lovely stay in a beautiful property"
We stayed at the townhouse to celebrate a friends forthcoming wedding. There were 10 ladies altogether and we had a wonderful weekend. The house is beautifully decorated and well positioned for easy access to all that Bath has to offer. Anne at Liz Cox was extremely helpful both before and during our stay - our hen even received a beautiful gift which was much appreciated. A really great house , comfortable beds and everything you need.

Booked townhouse for my daughter's hen weekend. Welcome was lovely, a little disappointed when I walked into the living room/kitchen area as it was not like the photographs on line when I booked. The house is in a brilliant location and was very relaxing, for the price that we paid I think it is in need of a little decoration. The photographs were obviously when the house was new, furniture a little worn and a little tired looking. Apart from that house was great, owners left bottles of wine for our arrival and were on hand if we had any problems. Also my daughter received a gift on arrival which was very thoughtful. The location of the house is walking distance to most things, ie, town centre, bars and clubs, ghost walk, tours, bath spa etc. we had a brilliant time.
Thank you Linda for posting a review,we appreciate you taking the time. We're delighted you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating your daughters forthcoming wedding and enjoyed the great location of Marie Got's Townhouse. We continue to make improvements and attend to housekeeping and maintenance in response to guests comments, thank you.Enjoy the wedding, best wishes to you all

"Excellent accommodation and location for a hen party"
We had a lovely stay at Marie Gots townhouse. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay, with advice on restaurants and activities for our weekend in Bath. The only concern is to be considerate of the neighbours ie not to be noisy/music after 11pm so if you are a particularly rowdy crowd it's possibly not for you but the 11 of us were fine staying up chatting and drinking. There is a brilliant restaurant Chequers walking distance from the house and we were able to pre order our meals to avoid wasting time on the night. We also loved the Pultney cruiser boat trip, dirt cheap and beer or wine onboard and very friendly happy guys running it. I would definitely recommend this accommodation for large groups or family weekends away!

"A lovely place to clebrate with friends"
12 of us stayed here, to celebrate a 50th birthay. The owners couldn't have been more accomodating - even accepting and unpacking our Ocado delivery before we arrived. The basics (tea coffee etc) were provided, there were lots of fluffy towels and toiletries, and they even gave the birthday girl a gift! we didnt have to hurry out on the Sunday morning. Excellent location next to the Royal crescent.

"Lovely house in central Bath"
I stayed at this townhouse with 8 other friends for my 30th birthday celebrations. The house was really gorgeous with lovely decor and everything you could need for a weekend away in a large group. The house is tucked in a pedestrian street with cute shops and twinkly lights, which gives it a kind've Parisian feel. It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station and about 15 minutes walk to the main shopping centre and spa. The house is well equipped with everything you could need. We really appreciated the extra touches like wine, biscuits and toiletries that were put in the house for before we arrived. I ordered an online food shop which was delivered before we got there, and the property managers were very kind in putting this all away for us. We ate in both nights we were there, and found the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses, and utensils. The house is on 5 floors - a basement with 2 bedrooms and bathroom, ground floor with entrance, 1st floor with lounge / kitchen, 2nd floor with bedroom and bathroom, and top floor with 2 bedrooms and bathroom. We didn't mind this as we're all pretty sprightly and it added to the character of the house, but elderly / disabled people might find it challenging. Overall we had a fab stay and I'm already trying to think of a reason to return!
I'm delighted you enjoyed your birthday celebrations with your friends Cheryl, thank you for taking the time to post a review, much appreciated by us all.We are always happy to receive and unpack on-line shopping for our guests and will endeavor to assist our parties wherever we can to ensure their stay is a pleasurable one.We would love to welcome you back in the future and always happy to accommodate couples and families too. "A perfect stay"
Myself and a group of friends spent a few days over New Year at Marie Got's. The house was absolutely perfect - a great size, wonderfully clean, warm and comfortable and such an amazing location, right by Royal Crescent and 5 mins walk into the centre of town, we were really, really pleased to have booked. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for home cooking for a large group, although there are some great restaurants in the area too. Thanks also to Anne, the lady who manages the house, for very friendly help and great organisation.

"Perfect for a weekend break in Bath"
Wonderful townhouse in Bath.. Easily within walking distance of the main town / Spa etc ... Recently enjoyed a weekend with girlfriends celebrating a birthday - the house was lovely.. Big thanks to Anne / Debbie who were extremely helpful prior to arrival and whilst we were there - they happily received and unpacked a sainsburys food delivery before we arrived . The little touches in the house were much appreciated - fresh flowers and bottles of water in the bedrooms / even a couple of bottles of chilled wine in the fridge when we arrived! The late checkout on Sunday was also welcomed - thanks!
