LA PETITE MAISONETTE is truly a gem of an apartment. Nestled above our offices in Beauford Square, it sits in the very centre of Bath among one of the earliest Georgian terraces.
Inside the maisonette, you will be surrounded by period detail, lovely antiques, unique "Orientalist" styling, beautiful yet comfortable furnishings, along with modern wide-screen TV with DVD, and WIFI in both bedroom and living room.
Spread over two floors, we have a sumptuous Super-king bed in the bedroom, which can be split into twin beds for those who want the extra space. Downstairs in the living room, the lovely sofa becomes a full sized double sofa bed - wonderfully comfortable and affording a good sized sleeping area for two adults or two children.
The views from all the windows are enchanting because Beauford Square is an enchanting and unique part of Bath's ambience. When you stay in La Petite Maisonette, you will find yourself in the very heart of this beautiful little city, for you will be exactly between the famous Queen Square and Bath's remarkable Theatre Royal.
There is a charmingly rustic, but stylish and compact country kitchen with everything you need if you want to stay home and enjoy your period apartment, but if you step outside you will find a plethora of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs, and of course all the great shopping you could possibly imagine is just a stroll away.
In fact, everything Bath has to offer is just a stroll away - or just around the corner. You could not ask for a better location. Everything, from the Jane Austen Centre, to the Roman Baths, is only a five minute stroll away, whilst all the heritage and Georgian architecture for which Bath is so famous is at your doorstep.

The Somerset region
Bath is within the rolling hills of the most amazing West County landscape and has become the perfect base from which to explore our English history. There are many nearby historical sites, all within 60 minutes of Bath: Stonehenge, the enormous stone circle at Avebury, the beautiful cathedral at Wells, the mysteries of Glastonbury, the National Trust village of Lacock, the perfect Cotswold village of Castle Combe, the Cheddar Gorge, or Longleat, the spectacular home of the Marquis of Bath, as well as some amazing Castles in Wales - just 45 minutes away!
Today, Bath is a small, but cosmopolitan and lovely city. In the time of King George, the city fathers built many innovative buildings in a style that has come to be known as the Georgian Style. Bath is the birthplace of this once modern architecture. Now, with its architectural integrity and the golden hue of its stone, it is one of the jewels of Britain's heritage. Bath has a rich array of museums and galleries, from the famous Roman Baths to the museum of East Asian Art.
Regular art displays are featured at the central Library in The Podium as well as the Holburne Museum of Art which houses a fine collection of 17th and 18th century art including the likes of Gainsborough. The new and highly publicised Spa Baths opened in August 2006, which use the natural thermal waters for which Bath is famous.

If you had only one place to visit in Bath - It should definitely be The Roman Baths. This is an amazing historical artefact, the remains of life in Roman times - 2000 years old! Your entrance fee gives you a well interpreted tour with audio guides in several languages as well as special audio guides for children. The Roman Baths are truly astonishing, much larger and more fascinating than you could ever expect. In July and August, the Roman Baths are open at night, when you can enjoy an extra special experience, with the Ancient Baths lit by torchlight.

"Perfect location for the centre of Bath"
We went to Bath for a few days to celebrate my 60th birthday. We'd been to the city years ago, and decided it would be nice to re-acquaint ourselves with it. Bath is beautiful, and is awash with lovely little cafes and restaurants. La Petite is in a perfect location - a quiet little back street away from noisy bars, but only a short walk from the buzzing heart of the city. You really don't need a car if you stay in Bath. The holiday flat was very comfortable. Cannot comment on cooking facilities as we ate out all the time, but kitchen looked well equipped. The only thing that marred our stay - and this is nothing to do with La Petite - was the damned seagulls! They squawked all night long, and I was ready to go out and buy an airgun by the end of the stay! Would definitely return for another break, but maybe when the seagulls have been dealt with by Bath Council!

"Great location and so comfortable"
We stayed here for 3 nights. This apartment has everything you need right down to potholders and tea towels. Charlie was so helpful. Our daughter stayed on the pull out sofa and she was comfortable. The main bedroom was roomy and comfortable, as well. The beds were comfortable. The only drawback was for the bathroom and bedroom, if you are over 5'10", it may not be a fit. My husband is 6'3" and he didn't like bending. I love the place but I'm 5'4". This is a wonderful place to stay.
