“Amazing apartment and location!”

Reviewed 16 Apr 2016

A group of 8 of us stayed here for a hen weekend and couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Bath. The townhouse is beautifully decorated, clean and has everything you need. The seating area and dining table are great for a gathering. It's in a fantastic location just a few minute walk to the Thermae spa and into Bath and very close to the train station. I would definitely recommend this to any group looking to stay in Bath.

Many thanks Sinead - so pleased you had a good time and liked the property Jette

“A second very pleasurable stay!”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2016

Very good second stay and another lovely sunny stay in the centre of Bath! Highlights of stay at Bath Townhouse 8 are location and comfort of apartment - hence a second visit! No holiday rental is without it's snags but the owners immediate response is invaluable as was so in this case. We totally appreciated that the owners live nearby and responded positively and quickly to our inquiry. The apartment is virtually across the road from the Thermae spa and we took a stroll over first thing one sunny Tuesday morning making straight for the rooftop pool. Floating around in warm water whilst looking out over spires, rooftops and green hills is simply wonderful! Then back to the apartment for lunch and more chilling. what more could one wish for on a cold but sunny February morning!

Many thanks Chris for your review. Hope to see you all again. Best wishes Jette & Ashley

“Fantastic apartment in an ideal location”

Reviewed 7 Feb 2016

From the initial booking everything was straight forward and easy to arrange. The apartment was clean and modern with everything we needed for our stay. Based in the centre of Bath, it was in the perfect location for all our needs, and the fact you don't need to worry about losing a key is an added bonus. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Many thanks Jason for your review - pleased you liked it! Jette

“Amazing rental in the heart of Bath”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2015

Stayed here for my friend's hen party for a weekend - lovely, high end place. Also loved the murals on some of the walls, gave the place real character. Ideally located as well for shops, the spa and the station. Would go back again.

Many thanks for your review - it is much appreciated! Jette

“Amazing house, even better location!”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2015

I really can't impress on you just how wonderful this house was! I booked myself and a large group of friends into the house for the three days surrounding my wedding. We were immediately impressed by the ease of accessing the house, no need to pick up keys, the door codes were sent to us! The house is arranged over two floors, with a double room, shower room, and a large living/dining/cooking area on the upper floor . This was great to relax, drink, catch up with friends and watch movies. Simple small additions like bluetooth speakers and a good wifi connection meant it was a breeze to hookup Netflix and Spotify from our mobile devices. The lower floor has a bathroom, shower room, and two further bedrooms. Take note, the rest of the ground floor is taken up by the 'old vault'. An area that has been converted into a great little gaming den including a 47" TV, excellent speaker system, Xbox 360, table football and plenty of beanbags to keep comfortable. Not only is the house excellent inside, but its location is a five minute walk from the train station. Leave your cars at home; shopping, pubs, restaurants are only five minutes from the door! We genuinely enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already looking to arrange a visit again next year. This really is an excellent place to get people together. If you book early and fill the house, it'll even be cheaper per head, per night then the Premier Inn down the road.

Thank you Kieren for your lovely review - it is much appreciated! Hope to see you all in Bath again.! Jette & Ashley

“Beautiful apartment but disorganised owners!”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2015

Firstly, let me say that the apartment itself is beautiful. Its ideally situated, easy to find and has reasonably priced parking nearby. However... We had trouble when booking this apartment. I booked and paid the deposit, then when i called to pay the remaining amount there was no record of our booking. Then they found our booking but it was missing a day. Once this was clarified the owner and her employee couldn't agree on how much was left to pay, this was eventually sorted. When we arrived, we were delighted with the apartment, it was clean, tidy and beautiful. BUT... on our first night we noticed a wet spot on one of the bedroom carpets. We rang the owner first thing the next morning and he came to have a look. Rather than calling in a plumber immediately, he decided to try and fix the problem himself, which meant that the carpet was ripped up, a bathroom unuseable and a lovely mouldy smelling bedroom for 3 of the girls to sleep in for 3 nights! I should probably mention here, that among our party was an Architect and a Quantity Surveyor who both have many years experience of the construction industry, it was pretty obvious to us that a plumber needed to be called. Because the owner (who has done a couple of restorations and now believes he is a construction professional) would not call in a plumber, we then had to endure him turning up at random times during the weekend to check the 'situation'. Best of all (this is my favourite), we were told (and have in writing) that we could vacate the property by midday. So on our last day, we packed up our bags and left them in the apartment whilst we went for one last walk around beautiful bath. We arrived back at the apartment at 11am and found that the cleaners had already entered the apartment. In our luggage were ipads, iphones, jewellery, phones, purses, etc so we weren't particularly happy to find a bunch of strangers in there! When the owner arrived (again) he proceeded to tell us that we had the wrong time and had to leave immediately. You can imagine how happy I was when i re-read our contract and it confirmed that we didn't have to leave until midday. Overall, it is a beautiful apartment but i'm not sure that the stress its owners put us through are worth staying there instead of somewhere else. Also we never received a written apology, refund, goodwill gesture, etc for the inconvenience they caused us!

We were rather shocked and upset to get this review! This property has been open for just over one year and in this time we have had 29 reviews – every single one except this one has rated this property and our service at 5 stars!! We think that says it all. There was no ‘trouble’ with the booking –this is a complete fabrication. A ‘bunch’ of cleaners did not turn up. I employ one cleaner who has been with me for 6 years and is completely trustworthy. If she did turn up early that day she would have knocked and rung the bell before entering, often people leave well before the 12 noon check out time and therefore we start cleaning as soon as possible. With regard to the ‘plumbing’ issue, this group of ladies who had been in the property for one night seem to think they were experts on this old Georgian building which my husband project managed from start to finish. He is an expert on property refurbishment, this includes the plumbing , electrics, and general building works, he KNOWS what he is talking about, if he had been in any doubt he would have called in a plumber. The fact that there has been NO further leak from this shower is evidence enough that his decision was correct – and we have to wonder who caused the overflow from the shower in the first place!!! All 3 bathrooms remained in use over the 2 night stay – so we feel a refund was not required. Jette & Ashley Baker

“Fantastic House”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2015

High quality and tasty decoration, central location, friendly owners and you got everything you need in the kitchen for cooking. Chinese supermarket is one door away, Chinese restaurant is just cross road. What can we ask for more as a Chinese.

So pleased you liked it! Tell all your friends! Yes lots of lovely Chinese restaurants in this area and the super market is perfect for all those speciality food you need if cooking in the apartment!

“Absolutely perfect”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2015

This townhouse is so perfectly located to visit Bath on foot, it's about 3 minutes from a supermarket and about 4-5 minutes from sites to visit. There is a car park about 3 minutes from the townhouse. The decoration of the townhouse is really beautiful and of extremely good taste. It was perfectly clean on our arrival. We were 8 people, 3 adults and 5 kids of ages 12 to 16. The place was really big enough for us and there were 3 full bathrooms which is really helpful with teenagers. We found everything we needed for our stay there. Communication with Jette was really simple. I would definitely recommend this townhouse for your visits to Bath or the area. It is really a wonderful and beautiful place to stay and feel really comfortable in.

Hi Naleni Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Maybe we will see you all again in Bath. Jette

Spotlessly clean and no expense spared throughout. The photos do not do this property justice. Booking was easy and Jette was very helpful sending through tips on places to eat and drink etc. Locations is amazing.... very central and a stones throw away from the Thermae Bath Spa.
