Description

The Aparthotel is situated on the hillside overlooking the Old Town and Fisherman's Beach. The apartment's balcony and huge windows are south facing, with a beautiful view making it very light and airy. There is an absolutely spectacular sea view from the balcony and from the shared pool and terrace where you can see right across the Old Town! The balcony is part covered allowing both space to enjoy the sun as well as an area in the shade.

We have put a lot of effort into maintaining the apartment and adding those "little extras". So many of our guests comment about how homely it feels and how the apartment offers everything you need. We have taken time to put together information for our guests and are happy to advise on the best restaurants, places to go and things to do!

The Algarve region

The borough of Albufeira receives a considerable percentage of the 5 million tourists who visit the Algarve annually.

The frenetic summer season now extends into the rest of the year, for visitors of all ages and from all over the world. Its fabulous climate, with more than 3000 hours of sunshine per year, and the friendly charm of its people persuade many foreigners to move residence to the region, either temporarily or permanently.

More people select Albufeira as their favourite destination because of its multiple attractions, i.e. the lively and social nightlife, the beautiful beaches, varied water sports, golf courses, glorious countryside and the local cuisine.

Central Algarve

The aparthotel is perfectly situated overlooking the Old Town area, so while it benefits from being away from the over-populated 'touristy' areas, it's still just a couple of minutes walk from the Old Town Square & its famous huge selection of bars & restaurants, and the same to the beautiful Fisherman's Beach.

For nightlife-seekers the famous Montechoro 'Strip' is a few Euros cab ride away (or a 15-20 minute walk), and at the other end of the scale, many of the areas famous golf courses are also easily reachable by car, bus or cab.

In Guia (20 minutes drive - taxis and buses available) you will find a large and very popular shopping mall and in the next village is the "Festa", a huge sand sculpture which is renewed each year and built by the best sculptors from around the world - definitely worth a visit and quite amazing for all ages!!

There are also waterparks/themeparks in the area which are all detailed in our welcome pack - giving loads to do for all the family!

There's something for everyone, from varied watersports to quiet walks.

“Great location, lovely apartment, great communication from owner.”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2016

This was our third trip to Portugal, we stayed at Cerro Branco August 2016. Already knowing the area slightly, this was a great location, fantastic views across the sea and town, just a short stroll to the escalator which takes you into the old town, (slight walk back up hill, nothing major unless have walking difficulties) There are a few steps down into the complex, there is a key coded gate for safety. The complex does not have a bar/shop/reception, but a very lovely clean pool that is cleaned and checked every day. The apartment its self is one of few where the front balcony is accessible making it brilliant for using the pool, others had to use their main back doors. Only drawback to this is that it could be unsafe to leave the patio door open for air on a night time what with having three kids. The front balcony is large enough for a dining table, a few other chairs and room for two loungers. The apartment itself is lovely, much larger that the pictures show, there are also two sofa beds in the lounge area. The large bedroom has two single beds, the small bedroom has one double bed (very comfortable with lovely clean fresh bedding changed weekly) There is a window directly above the bed and although we had it open on a night i was very aware that someone could easily get in, phillipa the owner says they are planning grill which would be a fantastic addition for safety. There is everything you will need in the apartment, The kitchen is fully stocked with pans, plates, cutlery, a washing machine and a microwave. Albufeirra is a gorgeous town with something for everyone, countless bars, restaurants and shops. We love Arte bar which is a short walk out of the main town to Cerro Nova, there is a fantastic indian rstaurant above (but you can have food in the bar) on sundays arte bar do an all inclusive bbq for 8 euros for adults 5euros for kids, well worth it, very friendly and they aso have a resident very famous dog called foxy who adopted the owners! he has his own facebook page, lol. all in all a lovely stay, defo recommend and will defo stay again.

“Superbly situated”

My boyfriend, 15 year old son and myself stayed at Apartment 118. I agree that there are many positives to staying here. Philipa and Keith's attention before and after our stay was first rate, it certainly added to our holiday experience. The view from the apartment, and it's general location, again, second to none. Kitchen was fine, nice comfy bed and the balcony was super ! The only problem with the apartment (we didn't smell any damp, it was all perfectly clean) was the wet room which caused much swaering and cursing from whoever was last to go in and had to mop up the flood. It's a real pain, but we managed :) ( I have increased my rating to excellent from very good now that I have read that this is to be changed to a proper shower) We loved the Old Town, something for all of us. My son went back night after night to 'Vertigo' a bar with a live rock band on every night (granted it was the same band slightly shuffled around a bit - but who cares?) He absolutely loved it, made his holiday :) A very friendly town, didn't feel uncomfortable at any time. A bit hit and miss with the food though- we had a lobster dinner which was ghastly in one of the restaurants up by the lift < avoid ! >, but a spectacular meal in the retaurant with the lemon tree growing inside < make a point of searching for this (the doors are closed during the day so we found it hard to find it again after we'd first seen it) but so glad we did - one of the best meals we've ever had ! > Definately worth checking out reviews first and don't be lured in by the pesky touts - so annoying. One final thing - take a fleece, or a cardy or even a coat - it was sooo cold in the evenings :/

“Brilliant Location”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2012

Really welcoming apartment, spotlessly clean and very spacious. The balcony is huge, with two sun loungers and table and chairs. Views are amazing. The Old Town of Albuferia is just over 5 minutes walk away downhill with two escalators taking you into the main Square where you will find restaurants and bars which cater for everybody. Very mixed age group. We didn't hear any noise at night at all. The beach was something to die for. Really didn't want to leave. The owners of this apartment did everything possible to help.

“Lovely Location”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2012

Hi, just spent 10 days at apartment 118 at Cerro Branco and we enjoyed every minute. The apartment was large and well equipped and location was just perfect. The pool area was never busy altho sunbeds were few but the balcony of the apartment was very large with sunbeds and table and chairs. The walk into the old town took only 5 minutes with its many bars and restaurants and altho the noise from the town had been mentioned we had no problems and even slept with the windows open. We would have no worries in using these apartments again, and probably will. The owners of the apartment were pleasant and very helpful in the booking process.

“A Little Paradise In Albufeira”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2012

We are just back from a lovely 11 night stay in Cerro Branco. The apartment is no more than 10 min walk from all amenities but far enough form the Strip to have a chilling holiday. It was our first stay in Cerro Branco and won't be our last !! John and I have been going to Albuferia twice a year for the past 7 years and Cerro Branco was by far the best apartment we have stayed in !! It was a good size with all the comfort's of home !!! Best of all was the balcony,it had the sun in the evening it was huge with 2 lounger's table and lots of chairs. When we came back from the beach we could lie out for a few hours it was perfect !!Pillipa provides her guests with some cd's books and dvd library,it came in handy as i ran out of books to read so i borrowed one. We stayed in one night with a Indian and bottle of wine we were able to eat on the balcony, listen to music look at the view and when the sun went down we watched a dvd... a perfect romantic night in Paradise.....thanks Pillipa & Kieth
