Cemaes Bay is a pretty seaside village boasting 3 safe beaches, two of which allow dogs. The beaches are mainly sandy, but there are numerous shells and other treasures to be found. When the tide is low, there is plenty of space for ball games, kite flying and rock pool discovering. When the tide is high, it is safe and delicious to bathe. There are also two neighbouring beaches within a pleasant 20 minutes coastal walk.
The village offers a post office, butcher, greengrocer/florist, convenience store, chippie, 2 hairdressers, a barbers, 2 ATMs, card shop, picture gallery, a craft shop that organizes activities, our village venture store, a computer store, heritage centre..... Various activities are posted on our notice board, and they include beach party, carnival, sandcastle competition, crabbing competition, duck race, dog show and many others.
There is one Catholic Church, one Church of England, one Church of Wales and one chapel.
Three local pubs/restaurants within 2 minutes walk!
Typical outdoor pursuits apart from beach related activities, water sports etc. include coastal walks, fishing, fishing trips and bird, seal and porpoise watching. There is a golf course at Bull Bay, 3 miles away, and a bird sanctuary at Cemlyn, 4 miles away. There are also picturesque and impressive sights on the island, including lighthouses, castle, sea zoo and prehistoric monuments.

We have recently stayed at harbour bay. We had a lovely time it's the perfect place to stay if you want a nice quiet relaxing break. There is a lovely cafe 2 min walk away that serve lovely breakfasts to set you up for the day. We would definitely stay again.
