Location description from owner

The North Wales region

Cemaes Bay

What can I say, Anglesey is a beautifully diverse island with lots to explore. Sandy beaches, stone throwing beaches, water sport beaches and beaches to just walk along and have a picnic. There is Parry's Mountain, an extradinary Luna type landscape of old copper mines. Newborough forest walks, historic Beaumaris castle and lots more.

“Ideal”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2015

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Post Office. Lovely accommodation very well maintained and ideal for a family with a couple of young children. A good base for discovering and exploring the island.

“perfect location”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2015

We had a short break at the Old Post Office and found it to be the perfect location/base for visiting somewhere new each day. Very well equipped, spacious, super clean and comfy beds. Our own dedicated parking was a bonus. Claire gave us a warm welcome and was around if we needed anything. We will be using the cottage again for future visits.

“Cosy and lovely little cottage”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2015

My husband and I booked this gorgeous cottage at the last minute for half term and stayed for two nights. Communication with Claire was great from the beginning and she made everything so easy and straight forward. This is a very comfy, cosy and charming little cottage - wonderfully decorated with all the mod cons you could ask for. A spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen with two equally spacious bedrooms upstairs. The stairs are steep, but none of us had any issues with it. So, okay mobile phone reception in Anglesey isn't great - sometimes your provider might think you are in Ireland - but you are here for a break, right? The cottage location is great - in a quiet little village, nowhere was too far to visit and since we have stayed in Cemaes Bay previously - we were able to revisit the beach down there, as well as a trip to Church Bay, Trearduur Bay and Holyhead - never too far from anywhere on the island. Our arrival was welcomed with fresh milk already in the fridge - so thoughtful. A bbq in the courtyard garden which we didn't use but definitely would have if we stayed a bit longer. Claire dropped by to introduce herself and welcome us. Another great touch was the loan of buckets and spades - which can take up alot of space in car boot - another great touch. We slept very well and soundly - just what I needed! This is alot of words for such a short stay - but Claire is such a great host and this property is just lovely! Thank you Claire!

“Lovely cottage in quiet tranquil part of Anglesey”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

Lovely cottage with lots of character in quiet hamlet of Carreglefn but only 3 miles from Cemaes. Accommodation was very clean with all usual facilities including TV, Wi-Fi and central heating, although we didn't need it! If your looking for peace and quite the Old Post Office is ideal but also makes a great location for easy travelling to the beaches and other tourist places like Beaumaris, Trearddurr Bay and Rhosneigr.

Thank you for your comments, we are glad you enjoyed Anglesey and The Old Post Office.

“Beautiful cottage and area.”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2014

Owners were very welcoming to my friends and I. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you would need. This is a beautiful part of the Island and a short drive to the very clean, unspoilt beach. We would definitely love to stay here again.
