Cosy, charming rural retreat for two nestled in rolling Welsh countryside with stunning views over the Teifi Valley. Crammed with character, we have tried hard to retain as many original features of the former working barns as possible (minus the cattle of course!). Enjoy a drink from the private terrace or while away an afternoon in our tranquil picnic meadow. The woodburner is perfect for curling up in front of on chilly summer evenings or you can relax in the bubbles in the luxury 6ft bath. Conveniently located within 2 miles of Lampeter, where you can get those essentials, eat out and explore, and a short distance from the heritage Cardigan Bay coastline for stunning beaches and dolphin spotting. University of Wales Lampeter

The oldest University in Wales was founded by Bishop Burgess of St. David's in 1822. The University offers a mix of traditional and modern courses, and is pioneering Internet teaching. The extensive grounds are open to the public, while the Old Building houses the unique Founder's Library and the Chapel, a "must see" for visitors. The University adds a unique cosmopolitan atmosphere to the town.

Dylan Thomas

Dylan Thomas lived in Plas Gelli, Talsarn, during the war, where he was inspired to write haunting poems such as "A Winter's Tale". He often stayed in the Castle Hotel, and spent hours walking the College grounds and singing with the rugby team. He was involved in a sensational trial in Lampeter Courtroom in March 1945.
