Welcome to "Cozy Cove Cottage" nestled just 10' from the water's edge on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes of New York. We hope you love what you see and will want to share in the peace that we have always found here!

My husband is a professional musician and we travel often, so our friends and family have inspired us to share our 'little piece of heaven' with others while we are away. We purchased the cottage as a peaceful memory from when I was a child and my family had owned a cottage in this same cove. This was always known as the "peaceful finger lake." Less boat traffic, much quieter, and very clean. So when we had the opportunity to buy this special place that sits right at the water's edge, far removed from the street, we did not hesitate to say "yes!" It is perfectly dressed in original charm with a comfy couch, oak table and antique chairs, and so many charming extras that inspire that true "cottage living" style with warm wood accents, soft ambient lighting, and a cozy atmosphere. We will always keep that original charm! We have added a second cozy couch to the front porch for all to gaze comfortably over the lake view, lots of comfy deck chairs to lounge on, Adirondack chairs and tons of ambiance to put you in the perfectly peaceful state of mind...


Breath in...breath out... relax. The air, water, and soil of Cayuga Lake have been rated in the top 1% of the cleanest in this country for years. And after just a few days, you will understand exactly what that means to your health and well-being. You will feel amazingly refreshed!

This was the first cottage built in the prime center spot of this sweet sunrise cove located about 14 miles south on the west side of Cayuga Lakes 42 miles. Centered in a peaceful cove, Grandfathered in front of others to receive the best breezes from the south and the north. Sitting on the front porch or deck, you can see clearly up and down the lake, as you're only 10' from the water's soft waving edge. Almost directly across from us, the morning sunrise is spectacular. And watching the moon rise across the 1 1/2 mile width of the lake is simply breathtaking.

There are over 25 award-winning local wineries within less than 30 minutes from our door, and another 400+ throughout the region. Private right-of-way and parking behind the cottage far from the street. No notorious stairs to climb up or down. Just cross the backyard, down five steps, enter the kitchen door and feel the cottage living experience! A perfect tree overhangs the front porch and deck to bring you full, cool shade with the sun, and the water's edge only steps away to find the sun on the newly built dock. Perfect place for that first cup of relaxing coffee or tea in the morning...true natural meditation to clean the mind and spirit.

There are two private bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen-size bed, one with a full-size bed, comforters, and pillows. The bathroom is upstairs with a hot shower and good public water. You'll wake up from a restful sleep after being lulled by the soft waves, then begin your "natural spa-like cottage experience."

The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances, pots, pans, flatware and dining needs you may require. The center of the cottage holds a desk for those needing to create or work in a peaceful environment. Perfect inspiration for the writer or artist. There is a 32" flat screen television available with basic cable and a DVD player, although just watching the lake is enough for most! Secure turbo WiFi is available just for our guests. Feel free to check emails or work at the desk, on the porch, or out on the end of the dock! Cell coverage here is also great at the cottage.

Fishing for perch, lake trout, northern and bass have always been great on Cayuga Lake. Some of the best are caught right off our dock! Take out the two NEW KAYAKS, the 12' rowboat (maximum 3 adults) or the canoe for a peaceful water journey, then grill dinner on the gas grill on the back deck, feel the peace of the water's edge as the moon rises in front of you by sitting on the deck or the dock of your private waterside beach!

Life truly is better when you're at the lake...

House rules

Maximum of 4 guests on the property overnight (visitors during the day are by pre-requested permission only). NO SMOKING on the property and NO PETS of any kind. All guests must be age 25 or older to reserve. We have several steps down a hill after a short walk from the parking area, then a boardwalk alongside a creek that steps down a few times to the back door down by the water so it may not be suitable for some elderly, wheelchairs, or those unable to walk and climb steps easily.
