Reviewed 18 Oct 2017

Just got back from this beautiful villa set in the most peaceful of surroundings, just outside of catrel where there is enough bars to cater for every taste. The villa itself is fabulous, could not fault a thing, lovely pool and outside eating area. Jane the owner makes the booking so easy and is easy to contact and is very prompt to reply. She genuinely wants you to enjoy your holiday and her villa. We will be booking again next year and have recommended this place to other family and friends.

Owner's reply: Many thanks Adam we are very grateful and you would be very welcome at our house anytime.

“Perfect for a relaxing holiday”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2017

We arrived late in the evening and the villa was very easy to find. The villa has all the amenities you will need, bedrooms are all a great size. The pool is fantastic and bbq area is very useful for lazy evenings watching the sun go down. The town of Catral has some lovely eateries should you wish to venture out and local shops are about 5 mins away in the car. The villa was very clean on our arrival and the beds are very comfortable. We have two teenagers and even they enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thank you Jane, you have been with us every step of the way.

Owner's reply: I can only say a big thank you to Scott, Marie and family for their lovely and honest review. We would welcome them back anytime. jane

“As expected”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2017

Villa was as we expected. It's set in a lovely peaceful location just outside of the town of Catral (car needed) Catral itself is a typical Spanish town, perhaps not the prettiest but definately great for amenities and a choice of local bars. We loved our morning coffee and tomatoes on toast at the little ice cream bar opposite the supermarket ' Dia '. We got to recognise a lot of the staff at the regular bars we stopped off, very friendly are the Spanish if you go out your way to make conversation. Guadamar beach is about 20 mins away in the car and made for a nice relaxing trip out without it being too touristy, sea was like bathwater and kept lovely and clean. We headed out to Santa Pola which has a nice little marina and again more popular with the Spanish than Brits. Villas pool was lovely and warm and provided great relief from what was very hot weather (38 degrees most days) BBQ area was fab for cooking at home, we didn't use the oven indoors at all. Local supermarkets stock some lovely meat and fish for BBQ'ing. Dishwasher is fab and takes the job of washing up out of the equation. Plenty of towels available at the villa which is great providing we had regular showers to keep cool. Washing machine in an outside store came in handy too and washing lines to dry off clothes. Bed in main bedroom was comfy and our daughter slept well in a single bed in the other bedroom. Keeping blinds down in day helps keep it cool as well as the air con and ceiling fans. If we were to pick a fault it would be not finding the villa very clean upon a arrival. Bits of dirt still on the floor and looked like everything had had a very quick whip over. It's nothing we couldn't sort ourselves and we gave the floors a once over and surfaces a wipe down. The terrace round the pool gets dirty really easily , the end of each day we just hosed it down and brushed away the dirt. It's obviously dusty out in the Spanish campo and was no big bother to keep on top of it. Pool man comes twice a week (he's lovely and really appreciated the few beers we gave him on leaving) and we kept on top of the pool inbetween as wasps seem to love taking a swim in it ;-) Overall a lovely relaxing holiday away from the crowds which is what we wanted as a family. Can't fault location, area and facilities at the villa. Just needs to be more thoroughly cleaned inbetween change-overs, whicg during the bust summer season is a must. A lovely Spanish holiday.

Owner's reply: Hi Sam & Lee Thank you for your lovely review and for the few negative points which I will take on board. I am so glad you enjoyed your holiday and you are so right about Catral. It is not pretty but has everything to offer within easy reach. Thank you jane

“Relaxed vacation in a quiet zone.”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2017

The house is about 20 minutes drive from Guardamar. It is a very quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle, so it is necessary to have a vehicle to make a purchase or to move around the area. The house is very spacious and has all the amenities to spend a good holiday.
