The Province of Munster region

South West County Cork is famous for its beauty and picturesque coastal villages. There are many inlets to explore and very quiet "get away from it all" places. There are golf courses all around with very reasonable green fees. Visit the nearby towns and take a trip along the lovely remote and naturistic peninsulas of Beara and the Sheeps Head. Bantry with its beautiful Bantry House and gardens, Glengarif with it's lovely island of Garinish just 10 minutes boat trip away where you can see many seals. On over the mountains and into Kerry, our neighbouring county.

Castletownshend

Take a trip out the harbour to the open sea and go whale, dolphin and seal watching. Visit the ancient standing stones of Drombeg in Glandore. Go to Baltimore and take a trip out to Sherkin Island and Cape Clear. Just over 1 hour by car to the beautiful sandy beaches of Barley Cove. Just a little further on visit the Mizen Vision, Ireland's most southerly tip and famous foir its lighthouse. Go kayaking on the lovely calm waters of Castlehaven harbour. Take walks through our grounds and on up into our extensive woodland. Dine in stile in our local bar/restaurant Mary Ann's which is just a couple of minutes stroll away or just go for a pint. Enjoy music in one of the various pubs in Skibbereen, 9 km away or Tragumna along the coast. Play golf at Skibbereen golf course.
