“An outstanding experience!”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2019

I have stayed in many holiday cottages and apartments over the last 10 years ( in France, Belgium, England, Wales, Ireland and Australia) but have never experienced such a high standard as Red Gap Cottage. The spacious attractively decorated living room was furnished with comfortable seating, an elegant dining table, tv, videos, books and games. The kitchen was fitted with the latest equipment and more crockery, glassware and cutlery than one could possibly need! Our hostess had provided breakfast cereals, milk, bread, a bowl of fruit, wine, tea, coffee etc, etc in a display of hospitality one would normally only expect from friends or family. Beds were comfortable in light airy well carpeted bedrooms and the bathroom fittings of the highest quality ( with a wonderful view to the south of the island). Everything was also spotlessly clean. Kim greeted us warmly and assured us we need only telephone her should we have any queries or concerns. The town was a short walk from the house and a bus stop very near gave easy access to the capital and other parts of the island. There was free parking outside the front door. Truly a holiday rental of the highest quality!

“Beautiful cottage with first class accommodation in an excellent location.”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2014

We received a very warm welcome from the owner. The cottage is homely, beautiful and spotlessly clean. The accommodation is first class with top quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. It is a short walk into Castletown and with bus stops within yards of the front door it is easy to reach many other places of interest. We had a wonderful holiday and would stay here again. Wi-fi/internet access would be useful.

“Lovely cottage with brilliant service”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2013

We stayed for a week. Easy trip from ferry. Plenty to do with great scenery and views from cottage. Very thoughtful provisions and everything done to a very high standard and the highest standard cottage we have stayed in. Personal service from Kim and nothing was too much trouble. Although no internet there was great signal with really cheap mobile deal. Deposit mailed back to us the day we left.

“An excellent cottage that I would highly recommend”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2013

This has to be the best holiday cottage that we have stayed in. It is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Castletown centre yet with distant views of Port St Mary and the Calf of Man and great coastal walks nearby. The cottage is spacious, well equipt and tastefully furnished, the welcome package containing local Manx produce was greatly appreciated as was the ample supply of washing liquids, dishwasher tablets etc, all the things you forget to pack! An excellent cottage made unique by the attention and care of the owner, well done Kim hope we can get in next time we come to the Isle of Man.
