The cottage sleeps five people and has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, a ground floor bathroom and a fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a sofa bed. Outside, the cottage benefits from off road parking for two cars and a shared lawned garden to the rear with furniture and a BBQ. With picturesque walks, a steam railway and the coast nearby, Buttercup Cottage is a lovely setting for a relaxing holiday to Yorkshire.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Castleton

Set in the breathtaking and beautiful location of the Upper Esk Valley in the North Yorkshire Moors, Castleton is the main village in the area and a centre for walking, bird watching, shooting and many other pursuits. There is a bowling green adjacent to the Downe Arms public house (which is dog and walker friendly and has won accolades for its real ales) and a cricket pitch and children's play area close to the River Esk. There are many footpaths and bridle ways - all providing superb views of the surrounding countryside. Castleton is a short walk from the North York Moors Danby Visitors centre from where a number of walks start and local arts and crafts events held. Castleton is a thriving community which has ample provision for visitors and boasts, several shops, public houses, tea rooms, a post office, garage and a bank. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park Centre is also nearby and it has a train station on the Middlesbrough to Whitby line.
