“An amazing place to stay - every detail in advertisement correct.”

Reviewed 2 Feb 2017

Fantastic location for tourism. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. We were a small group without children but could appreciate all the facilities available had we taken children or grandchildren. The owner has put a lot of thought and effort into this property making sure that it more than meets the needs of a variety of visitors. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

“Complete Gem”

Excellent property, with all the necessities and added extras. Close to Castlerock beach for body boarding and long walks. Great games room to keep kids amused on those damp days. Definitely a place we will return to.

“excellent lodge with fab location”

The lodge was beautifully appointed. It was comfortable and met the needs of adults plus varying aged children. Excellent location for exploring the beautiful causeway coast. Lots of useful area information.

“Ideal for family group”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2016

Stayed for long weekend - extended family with grand-children. House clean and well presented. Owner has done a lot to make sure your stay is enjoyable, from simple things like a big area for coming in sandy and wet from the beach through to an excellent guide to local and further afield facilities - thumbs up to Crusoes Coffee shop in Castlerock (very popular, excellent coffees and huge fresh scones) and Harry's Shack at Portstewart Strand. Communications from the owner were quick and precise. Only recommendation; bring an Ordnance survey map if you want to get off the beaten track

“Excellent Holiday home and location”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2016

A great holiday home with loads of space and really well equipped. We used it as a base for touring and visiting the magnificent Atlantic Coast as well as a base for attending a family wedding in Derry. Everything you could need is provided in the house and the area is so central for travelling by car or for strolling into Castle Rock. It is very clean, well presented and we would recommend it especially for family groups. The games room is great for teenagers (and dads!). I would especially recommend a trip to Magilligan Point, the ferry to Donegal and a meal in the pub at Magilligan.

“Lovely Holiday House”

Lovely holiday house with great facilities - the games room and garden kept the kids entertained. Castlerock is a great location with a lovely beach.

“Perfect family oriented sightseeing hub for our North Coast visit!”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2016

We visited the Atlantic Golf Lodge (seven of us including me, my wife, three children under 16, and my parents) for a week in July! AGL was clean and well arranged when we arrived, David Evan sent clear intructions and had a welcome package waiting. The house was very warm and welcoming on the rainy summer day we arrived. The wonderful downstairs games room drew our boys attention immediately, and kept them away from tv for hours with mini-pool (snooker), darts, and ping-pong. The main living areas are open plan with and a connection to the big kitchen (flat-screen TV and views). The kitchen has all necessary cooking items if you want to stay in and cook...plus a BBQ with gas provided! We didn't play golf but the house is right next to the beautiful Castlerocks links course with views toward the sea and Portstewart on one side, and toward the rolling green country hills on the other (you can pay a reasonable fee to play 18 or 9 holes but they don't rent clubs if that's an interest for you). We had a well-cooked steak and fish dinner in the Golf Clubhouse (go upstairs to the bar for food in a setting overlooking the 18th green). Castlerock's main street, with a couple of bars and coffee shops is five minute's walk, and the beach is a couple minutes further (or you can drive onto the beach too). The beach was terrific for morning/evening walks when the sun was perfect. Outside of Castlerock, the house is perfectly situated for train or car travel to nearby Derry City or Coleraine, and by car to Mussenden Temple and further afield toward Donegal or along the amazing Causeway and Antrim Coasts (Gian'ts Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede, Bushmills, etc)!

“Village Haven”

Reviewed 21 May 2014

This was our second stay and we enjoyed it even more than the first as we were familiar with the locale. The house is so well set up from the very well equipped kitchen, to comfortable lounge dining, to fabulous games room. The views from the lounge/dining and kitchen are picture postcard quality no matter the weather. It really is a home away from home and David is the very best host. The house is spotless and the welcome spread left by Eileen is just the best! The village has the most beautiful beach, and walks along it and the nearby woods are just divine. It's on the Belfast/Derry train line so if you want to leave the car at home and enjoy the scenery it's the way to go. It's on the Antrim Coast which is beautiful all year round with activities to suit all age groups.

“Great Location and Amenities”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2013

My extended family enjoyed a couple of days at Castlerock and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and facilities. The booking process and information provided pre-booking was to a high degree and very simple. Upon arrival we were met with a welcome basket and the house was in a very clean and functional state. The house provided many amenities including toys for the 2 yr old in our traveling group. The weather was mainly fine and we were able to explore the region from this base. We would recommend taking the train from Castelrock to Derry/ Londonderry as it takes you along the coast for some amazing views! Close to seaside towns for dining and the house was very spacious and comfortable for 8 people that we also used it to dine in on occasion. Highly recommend this home due to attention to detail and beautiful scenery within walking distance! Thanks to all for making our holiday experience so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this as a great base to explore Northern Ireland.

“A great base for touring the beautiful Causeway Coast”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

We had a wonderful stay in Atlantic Golf Lodge. It is a fabulous house, with lovely views & in a great location - close to the beach in Castlerock, a short drive to Coleraine & a great base for exploring the beautiful towns & landscape of the Causeway Coast. The house was very comfortable, really well equipped and had everything we needed for our weekend. The welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch. If we're heading to that area again, we will definitely go back to Atlantic Golf Lodge.
