“Quiet and well equipped”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2016

Ignore the map when looking at this property, it's not accurate. The directions are good though and you can find it on Google earth. It has a lovely view of mountains and countryside. At times the weather was awful but it was still pleasant sitting watching the rain blowing sideways across the fields. We were very cosy inside. I liked the fact that it was not overlooked and very quiet. We didn't try walking to the village in the evening, it was quite a step along unlit roads. There were reflective vests and a torch provided though. The cottage was well equipped with crockery etc and had a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There were DVDs, CDs and books on the shelves. Spa was surprisingly well stocked and open until late. We ate in most of the restaurants in Castlegregory and we found the best by far was Milesian 0874607499. A very small menu but beautiful flavours and skilful cooking. The service was good and the wine delicious. Only open at weekends until the end of September it was such good value too. We really enjoyed our week at the cottage.

“Trip down memory lane”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2012

We had a great long weekend in this gorgeous newly renovated house close to Castlegregory. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated. It is a home from home. For us it was a trip down memory lane as we visited this area for many years when we were children. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and our 89 year old mother found the house easy to get around. There are lots of great walks not to mention the great beaches nearby. The local supermarket is well stocked and there is a market on a Sunday morning. For entertainment there are plenty of bars and restaurants. We recommend this gem of a house very highly. Thanks Marion for your attention to detail.
