The Dumfries and Galloway region

Discover Scotlands hidden gem in Dumfries and Galloway in the South West corner of the country.

Instead of following the pack northwards when you cross the border turn west at Gretna onto the A75 and you will come to the secret that is Dumfries and Galloway, which is often described as Scotland in miniature. Stunning coastal scenery, mountains, forests, lochs, and Scotlands only Dark Sky Park Dumfries and Galloway has it all but without the crowds and traffic jams which can often be found further North and possibly more importantly without the same Midge problem which can be encountered in other parts of Scotland. You won't be disappointed.

Dumfries and Galloway has great sporting facilities. Golf, mountain biking, hillwalking, fishing, sailing - the UK longest Zip Wire - over 800 metres in length and much more
