Description

This is a good opportunity to experience a summer holiday in one of the loveliest villages in Tuscany. Casa Corrado is set just above the medieval walled village of Castiglione. From the house and garden there is a great view of the ancient Castello and walled village, and the dramatic mountains beyond.

In 2011 Castiglione was voted the nicest village in Italy. The walled village is strategically situated in the spectacularly scenic area known as the Garfagnana, arguably the most beautiful part of all Tuscany. Castiglione has a number of bars and shops, and 2 restaurants all within 300 metres of the villa.

There are 5 bedrooms in the villa, which is perfect for groups of family and friends. Downstairs, at the ground level with access through the internal garage, there is a large double bedroom with easy access to a bathroom with handrails, a low sink and a wheel-in shower with a seat and rails. There is also a twin room downstairs.

On the first floor there is a main door which leads into a roomy lounge with a 10 seat dining room table. For colder periods there is a cosy open wood fire. The lounge has French doors to the large balcony, which is a feature throughout the villa. The kitchen has easy access to the balcony through a French door.

Also on the first floor there is a lovely matrimonial room with a French door which leads to its own balcony with views over the pool and the beautiful countryside beyond. There is a double room and a single room which also has a door which goes down to the pool and solarium.

The villa is very roomy with an elevator, and has wheelchair access to all areas. The kitchen is fully modern. A large balcony can be accessed from the kitchen and living room. The house can also be accessed from an internal garage.

The large garden has a beautiful view from the solarium around the 12 metre pool, which has steps into it and a lift for wheelchair users.

All bed linen and towels included in rental.

Final cleaning included in rental.Other cleaning can be arranged if requested.

Flexible entry days, Saturday to Saturday NOT essential.

Friends of Tuscany can help arrange excursions to vineyards, mountain biking, hill walking, horse riding, gorge walking, art classes and cooking classes which are all available locally.
