Mimosa Cottage, our charmingly restored cottage, is set in its own private garden adjacent to the main house.

The cottage is 75m² all arranged on the ground floor as follows:

Enter into large lounge with dinning room area, inglenook fireplace with
wood burning stove and double doors leading to
terrace.

Through arch to fully fitted kitchen with microwave, dishwasher
and washing machine, electric oven and gas/electric hob.

Double bedroom (140cm x 190cm), 1 twin bedroom (2x 90cmx190cm) possibility of adding 1 extra single bed and /or cot.

Bathroom with bath/shower and WC.

The garden is enclosed by a high laurel hedge with parking and private
swimming pool (7 metres x 4 metres), children's swings and
barbeque arranged amongst flower boarders, lawn and ample
trees for shade.

Garden dining furniture and sun loungers are provided.

"Mimosa Cottage" is situated amongst the plum and apple orchards of "Chateau Lavalade" which boarders the river Tarn.

There are walks directly from the house though the orchards. Four miles down stream is Moissac a vibrant market town with ancient monastic roots, much of it, monastry, church and beautifull cloisters still remaining.The "canal de midi" passes thougth the centre providing an ideal walking/cycle route under the shade of the two hundred year old plane trees.



The surrounding area is considered the fruit bowl of France, being well irrigated by the majestic rivers of the Tarn, Garonne and Aveyron that in joining together just up stream of Moissac form 1000 acre lake that provides for all forms of water sports. Mimosa Cottage is situated amongst the plum and apple orchards of "Chateau Lavalade" which boarders the river Tarn.

Four miles down stream from Moissac a vibrant market town with

ancient monastic roots, much of it, monastry, church and beautiful

cloisters still remaining.

The surrounding area is considered the fruit bowl of France, being

well irrigated by the majestic rivers of the Tarn, Garonne and

Aveyron that in joining together just up stream of the town form

a 1000 acre lake that provides for all forms of water sports.

Well served by road, rail and air transport.

Junction 9 of the A62 motorway from Bordeaux or junction 63 of

the A20 (E9) from Paris.

TGV express train from London or Paris direct to Agen or Toulouse.

Toulouse airport Blagnac (65 km) by British Airways/Air France or Carcasonne airport (120 km) by Ryan Air.

Castelsarrasin

Moissac 5km from the Mimosa Cottage, on the banks of the river Tarn, just above the confluence with the majestic Garonne, forming a 1000 acre lake and aquatic bird sanctuary. Ideal for water sport activities including water ski-ing, canoeing, rowing, dingy sailing. The "canal de midi", which runs through the town offers miles of well maintained and shaded towpaths for walking and cycling. Private boat hire by the day or "gourmet canal barge excursions" from the port.

The markets are held every Saturday and Sunday in "Place des Recollets", offering a bouquet of all the locally produced fruit (AOC chasselas table grape, melons, cherries, plums etc) and vegetables including a wide selection of organic and traditional food and wines.

Moissac renowned for its abbey and cloisters, the oldest remaining in the world, a major stop over for the pilgrims of "St Jacques de Compostel". Also recognised by world heritage for its 1930's architecture. This Quercy town enjoys a flourishing culturel life, including festivals and exhibitions of art, choral,jazz, wine, chocolate etc. ensure an animated stay at anytime. Perfectly positioned for exploring the delights of the Midi-Pyrenées region.
