“Lovely place, lovely people, great meals, booked for next trip already.”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2015

Lovely rural location, very quiet, fantastic views. Accommodation was very well equipped. We were mostly self catering but had several meals provided by the hosts - produce fresh from the garden or locally sourced and freshly cooked - they were really great. Hosts extremely friendly and helpful. We were on a cycling holiday holiday and had use of a barn to store our bikes. Also great swimming pool, table tennis, pool table and outdoor eating areas.

“We found a place to return to for many a year to come”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2012

We 'found' Bob & Lynn's secluded Gite's after a friend stayed in 2010, and we visited in June 2011. We loved the sprawling barn, all the dogs, and most of all the hospitality of our hosts, who were exceptionally warm and a font of local knowledge. Whilst it is a trek from Carcassonne I strongly recommend La Borde - it's prominent position on the spit of a hill is stunning, and once your orientate yourself, it's really beautiful area, and Bob has worked hard to get the Gite's looking really good. We are returning (next week) for the second year, and have a number of friends who are also returning!
