The flat, which has been wonderfully restored, is in the Castello sestiere (district), the least known but perhaps most fascinating zone of Venice. The light-filled flat is on the second floor of an elegant 13th-century palazzo. One accesses the flat through a charming internal courtyard, typically Venetian in style, that faces a small internal garden, called a brollo, and the Canale de le Gorne, running along which are the high walls of the Arsenale. The interior of the flat is in the style typical of upper floors in Venetian homes, with exposed beams, trusses and a Venetian terrace. The space begins with a small entrance that leads to the fully equipped kitchen area, featuring a convection oven, refrigerator (with freezer), toaster, water boiler, dishwasher and washing machine. An Istria stone portal opens onto the living area, which faces the courtyard and internal garden, both of which are tranquil, quiet places. The living area features a dining table, a comfortable sofa that can become a double bed, and a relaxation area for listening to music—thanks to the amplifier system provided by for PCs and iPods—read books in Italian, French and English or browse through catalogues and city guides. The elegant bathroom features a large shower and a towel warmer. The second floor is a delightful, open space with a mansard roof and wooden floors. It has a double bed with storage, a chest of drawers and an additional bathroom with a window, shower and towel warmer. The flat has air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Ca' de le Gorne is located in the Castello sestiere (district), the most popular zone among those who prefer Venice at its most authentic and least crowded with tourists. Campo de le Gorne, a characteristic little Venetian piazza with a well, tree and fishing nets hung up to dry, is an idyllic spot along which run the walls of the Arsenale and wonderfully representative of the Venice of times gone by and the charming, 'slow' lifestyle of this city. Well-served by ACTV vaporettos, thanks to the nearby Arsenale (5 mintes away) and Celestia stops, it is especially easy to reach using the public water transport running along the city perimeter. The flat is in an especially convenient location for those interested in taking walks along the panoramic Riva degli Schiavoni, visiting the old Arsenale and main locations of the Biennale and exploring magnificent Piazza San Marco.

The Veneto region
Veneto has something to offer to those who travel to learn more about the world, to those who believe that to understand the present we need to know about the past, to those who love the fruits of the creativity and skill of the generations that came before.
Civilized three thousand years ago, it still has the image and the spirit of the centuries of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, but enriched with a vibrant local identity, with original and unique cultural experiences. Tourists who are keen on culture will be satisfied with their exploration and discovery of the Veneto region. These tourists can see the works of certain artists, see World Heritage Sites or get to know places of particular value.
The Veneto is also the privileged site of experimentation and performing exhibitions of various branches of contemporary arts that are often attentive to the dialogue with the host environment, and its tradition.
The tourist who comes to the Veneto region looking for culture, art and history is never disappointed.
Venice is a city reflected in the water and the image that returns is imprinted in the eye of the beholder. A magical city par excellence where everything is magical, romantic, full of poetry and sadness...
This city is unparalleled, which has been awarded the title of World Heritage by UNESCO for its artistic treasures and for the extraordinary interpenetration between human activities and the natural landscape of the lagoons.
The traveller, if only in passing, is seduced by the beauty and variety of monuments and works of art. Piazza San Marco, the pulsating heart of the city, the important urban and architectural complex, takes its name from the famous Basilica of San Marco, built in oriental style and topped with five Byzantine-style domes. The vast space that is filled with tourists from all over the world opens on one side of the lagoon, while the other is bounded by the bell tower and glamorous buildings of the Old and New Procuratie and Palazzo Ducale.
The Bridge of Sighs is not far from here and is a necessary stop of the romantic gondola ride that traditionally goes up the Grand Canal, the main waterway of the city.
Venice is a place to live to its fullest and a place where one should get lost in the intricate lanes while going up and down the bridges discovering the treasures of the baroque Church of Santa Maria della Salute, the Accademia, host to the masterpieces of Venetian painters from between the fourteenth and the eighteenth century or the School of San Rocco with the extraordinary series of paintings by Tintoretto.
Venice is also modern and contemporary art, like the art works that are found in the renovated Punta Della Dogana, or inside Palazzo Grassi, with its avant-garde art on display at the Biennial exhibition.
