Very Good

Stayed there with my husband, our 5 years old daughter, and another couple with their little son. We enjoyed the place, the environment and the attentively furnished house. It's located in a wide wonderful olive tree grove, where children can play and stay in contact with nature, learning how to respect it. We loved having our meals outside, using the pool and the funny barbeque. We spent there only 1 week, and thanks also to the kindness and competence of the owner Antonella we'll go there again in the next future!!!! See you soon, Gloria

“Beautiful Trulli and location but awkward for two couples”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2014

It was fortunate that one of our party could speak some Italian because the owners who guided us to the Trulli cottage struggled with spoken English though their written English in all of our email communication was floorless. We were spending four days with our son and daughter-in-law and were surprised that the bedrooms only accommodate one couple and one single. My wife had to sleep in the lounge kitchen area where the pellet burner heater also stood - we had issues operating this as well. The Trulli is quite noisy as the bed rooms are screened off with light colourful curtains so any movement in the kitchen carried to all the rooms. There was an absence of basic kitchen things like a chopping board and kettle which we pointed out when we left. Overall our hosts were very friendly and were willing to go out of their way to help us when we asked. Our stay would have been more enjoyable if the weather had been warm enough to use the rustic garden and the pool.

Owner's reply: I'm sorry that you have not been able to enjoy the garden and the pool saw that there was bad weather. As for the bedrooms, I must say that on the site is written that they are a double and a single, so I do not understand your surprise (the pictures clearly show). As for the noise, it was due from the pellet stove (which has been turned on its own for the unexpected cold to May). Anyway, I hope that in a next vacation, you can go back to Trulli Arcobaleno, to be able to live in the summer.

“We would definitley do it again”

Antonella was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble.Lovely accommodation. Lots of open space for the children with fig and olive trees. The kids loved plucking herbs for the rare meal we cooked. In a rather secluded area, but close to amenities and a 25 minute drive to the beach and old town of Monopoli. 5 minutes away from the phenomenal caves of Castellana. Lots for the kids to do with the dino park, zoo safari, and the Trulli town of Alberobello. The only thing I would advise is to have fans instead of the air conditioner as i think they would be more effective in the Trullo.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review constructive, I'm sure that will help me and future guests. It 'been a pleasure to host you and I hope to do it again.
