Oceanview is a beautifully finished, private self-contained, self-catering apartment with a balcony, occupying half the lower level of Roundhouse, Castara with a spectacular seaview. Every effort has been made by the owner to ensure home from home comfort. This apartment can also be rented as a 2 bedroom on a separate listing 9079050.

The stunning sea view from the property is perhaps one of the most photographed in Castara. Sitting on the balcony at sundown, drink of choice in hand, one begins to understand why. Be prepared for visits from a variety of birds including humming birds and keep a watch out for iguanas and aguti. The sunsets are frequently beyond spectacular.

Defiantly positioned on the hill overlooking Little Bay, the mostly wood, green roofed OCTAGONAL structure makes no attempt to compete with nature but rather to sit sympathetically and comfortably within. Swimming and snorkelling at Little Bay is a mere 2 minute walk away and the restaurant is open most days for lunch and evening meals.

Oceanview is a good quality sizeable apartment and enjoys sea views from within the apartment. All fixtures and fittings are bespoke and local ethically sourced wood was used by the joiner as far as possible. The apartment is attractively vented to ensure fresh air flow and two ceiling fans and 3 floor fans are provided to keep the apartment cool. The bed has an attractive mosquito nets and the top quality orthopaedic mattresse ensures a good night’s sleep. The fitted kitchen is extremely well equipped with good quality cookware. Hot and cold water is provided.

Its worthwhile to take the time to read all the information on this site, particularly the Booking Terms and Conditions. Please also note that this agent charges both you and the owner a booking fee as mentioned in their terms and conditions. This is included in the quote you receive.

Please note. Although the booking terms state no refunds of monies paid if cancelling, every endeavour will be made to fill the vacancy at which time your money minus booking fees will be duly refunded.

If you decide to stay in Oceanview, may I give you the following advice.

1. Make sure you can get your flight prior to booking the apartment

2. If possible, fly to ANR Airport Tobago and not Trinidad's Piarco airport

3. If you do book to land in Trinidad, please make sure you book the onward flight to Tobago at the same time (Caribbean airlines). It is a very busy inter islands service and therefore a flight to Tobago cannot be guaranteed on the day of arrival unless booked in advance.

4. Keep the name, address and phone number of the apartment with your passport as Immigration will need to write this down.

5. If you plan to fly to Trinidad and come to Tobago by ferry, please make sure there are no public holidays around the time required as a ticket cannot be guaranteed and could result in waiting for a standby for a few hours at Port of Spain ferry port which is a little soul destroying. Additionally, if a ferry breaks down the same can happen.

Interaction with guest

Hi, I live above the apartment which I assure you is so well soundproofed that its not a problem for either myself or my guests. I like to achieve a good balance of interaction with my guests. I am there if needed, happy to have a chat if desired, but on the whole allow my guests to feel free and unencumbered to enjoy their stay in Oceanview and do their own thing. So far, my guests have very much appreciated this.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jenny (the owner) a message.

If Jenny (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
