Good comfortable accommodation, providing a good base to discover the real Spain. It is set in an area of natural beauty and is surrounded by mountains and pine trees. Nature lovers will be thrilled with the area, wild boar, squirrels and tinkling of goat herds are usual. Despite this it is near to quaint villages and close to the beaches and tourist resorts. The house is set on a small development and there is a 10 minute drive to the local town where there are shops, markets and restaurants to provide for most needs. A local bar/restaurant is only 10 minutes walk away and gives you a taste of the real Spain at a reasonable price. If you dislike the urban sprawl of some the coastal areas and want to be part of the real Spain yet still enjoy some home comforts this would be ideal. The villages around are steeped in history, have their own castles and fiestas throughout the year that often last for days. The area is enjoyed by walkers and cyclists. The house is still close to the hustle and bustle of the coast. If you wish to attend the water park, Terra Mitica in Benidorm (less than an hour away), or visit the wonderful beaches at El Campello, San Juan or Alicante (approximately 40 minutes drive) which are all within reach using the excellent road links. It is a really good for holiday or short break, a getaway that can meet most needs for most ages.

The detached property is set on an elevated plot and is accessed off the roundabout as you enter Pinada Del Rio by the steep, sweeping, gravel drive. Private parking for three vehicles (if required), a car is essential. The house is north facing so offers welcome shade at the front of the property plus the three large Spanish pine trees give further cover. To two sides of the villa there are gardens with Fig, pomegranate and mimosa trees. On the other side is a large tiled terrace with BBQ and fixed table, and seating. This terrace benefits from having the sun from morning to evening. The upper Terrace gives shade from the breeze and is wonderful on cooler days with sun until late afternoon. The lower garden area at the front of the property is still awaiting development and a fixed pool.
The property has an extended covered porch that is a wonderful place to relax and watch the comings and goings of the site and nature. It also affords a shady, sheltered place to sit all year. The villas position offers shade or sun, as you prefer, all through the year.
The property does not have a fixed pool at this time although from May to October there will be an above ground splash pool for the sole use of guests. This is easy to maintain and guests are asked to cover the pool each evening after use. A car is an essential for guests. There are fly screens for your comfort and this means that windows can be left open to gain fresh breeze even on the warmest of days.
The Valenciana region
Costa Blanca is well known for its wonderful climate that is not humid like the southern costas and even in the winter months the weather is mild. It is an area of contrasts from the tourist areas of Benidorm, Alicante down to the southern coastal region with hugh urban sprawls. This contrasted by the coast being edged by mountains and this is where Casa Lindo is set surrounded by the mountains in a rural position where there are quaint small towns with narrow streets and traditional bars and restaurants close by. While it is not usually a place to visit for history the small towns do have a lot to offer with hill top castles and a wonderful community attitude that celebrates many fiestas throughout the year which usually involving parades, fireworks and elaborate costumes that add to the charm. The Moorish influence is evident and the celebration of the chequered past is celebrated by most of the local towns and villages.
Deep in a valley, surrounded by mountains, set on a hillside one finds Castalla. History and Nature shine with their own light in this town, presided over by an impressive castle that, according to tradition, contained great treasures. This is a part of the history that keeps watch over the narrow and steep streets that make up its urban framework. In its surrounding areas there are extensive forests, rich in species, creating a pleasant environment, in which to go for a stroll. Fiesta season starts in May with the running of the young bulls, with two further festivals celebrating the local saints in May and July. With the four day Fiesta for the Moors and Christians at the end of August. Tibi is a much smaller quieter town but again offers similar fiestas during the year, as do the other towns and villages in the area. It is interesting to take part or just observe and the locals make you welcome no matter what time of year. Casa Lindo is a great base to visit and share in the history and pleasure of the area. The sporting facilities in both places include large outdoor swimming pools, the one in Castalla is coverred in the winter months.

"Lovely family villa"
We stayed for about 2 weeks rock climbing in the area with friends. The villa was very lovely and very well furnished, with all modern amenities available. I have stayed in many villas in Spain but Casa Lindo was by far the best one. Clean, modern, and very very comfortable. The location of the villa was convenient for our purpose, being very close to the airport, town (Castalla), and the nearby climbing areas. The owner was very helpful with the booking and even welcomed us with a free drink left in the fridge. I am looking forward to returning to Casa Lindo at a future date.
Thank you for the review we look forward to welcoming you again. Regards Alison

"Great place to explore or laze by the pool"
The house is up in the hills above Alicante and took us about 30 mins to get there. House is beautiful in a great area to explore the real Spain. Great for walks and mountain biking. Went to some fantastic little villages like Tibi and Castella where there's some great places to eat tapa and drink vino! House has everything you need so we spent a couple of days lazing in the sun by the pool and having bbq's. would defiantly go back to casa lindo as a great villa and we want to see and explore the area much more.
Thanks for your review of Casa Lindo, I do hope you will stay again.
