The bedroom has a walk-in closet, and connects to a second room that serves as a private office space, but can also act as a bedroom.

The top floor suite has two bedrooms connected by a bookshelf, cathedral ceilings with a skylight, light wood floors, large sliding windows that open to the green surroundings, and a bathroom clad in natural stone.

A charming aspect of the property is the pine tree grove that it includes, a very large garden filled with a will pine trees and other native Mediterranean vegetation, where children can play for hours in endless adventures, and adults can experience the feeling of being miles away from civilization.

The Villa is situated between two famous golf courses in Europe, with pay-for-use swimming pool 50m away. It is near the touristic village of Cascais, is very close to the sea and from a variety of pleasant esplanades by the ocean. The property is located next to the golf resorts of Quinta da Marinha & Oitavos, benefits from all the touristic attractions of the region and is within 5 min driving of Cascais beaches, and 10 min from the famous Guincho beach. It is located about 400 meters from the ocean, and you can jog for miles by the coast in the scenic walk/bike path by the ocean.

Location description from owner

The Central Portugal region

Cascais and Sintra (patrimony of UNESCO) offers some of the best bathing conditions and water-sports in Portugal, depending on the kind of beach you choose. A bigger or lower exposition to the Atlantic ocean means more or less crowded beaches and different water-sports. We recommend the coast along Estoril for sheltered beaches and from Cascais/Guincho until Praia das Maçãs for more wild conditions. Between Lisbon/Sintra/Cascais you can choose many cultural activities.

A short train ride along the shore from Lisbon's Cais do Sodré station leads to Cascais, a formerly quaint fishing village that became (along with neighboring Estoril) a popular resort favored by European nobility and kings in the early 20th century. Today it is a colorful cosmopolitan town with elegant pedestrian streets, luxuriant villas, fashionable shops, restaurants and bars.

In the 19th century Sintra became the first centre of European Romantic architecture. Ferdinand II turned a ruined monastery into a castle where this new sensitivity was displayed in the use of Gothic, Egyptian, Moorish and Renaissance elements and in the creation of a park blending local and exotic species of trees. Other fine dwellings, built along the same lines in the surrounding serra , created a unique combination of parks and gardens which influenced the development of landscape architecture throughout Europe.

Cascais

Cascais is the perfect location for days on the beach and nights on the town. Just a thirty-minute train road from central Lisbon, the beaches in Cascais and the surrounding area are amongst the best in Portugal. Long stretches of golden sand, rocky outcrops and secluded coves characterise the shoreline, offering visitors with plenty of choice when deciding where to spend their day in the sun.

Heading west from Cascais the landscape becomes more wild and rugged as the sandy beaches and rocky outcrops head towards Portugal's most westerly point. Praia do Guincho is one of the most sought-after beach locations in the area, offering a wide stretch of sandy beach and some of Cascais' most luxurious accommodation and restaurants. Surfing and windsurfing are popular pastimes on the Praia do Guincho but watch out for strong currents and be sure only to swim when the resident lifeguard is on duty.

Inside the two neighbouring resorts, you have access to one 18-hole championship golf course (by Robert Trent Jones) and just beside you have the Oitavos golf course (by Arthur Hills), a 18-hole course included in the top 100 courses of the world. Last September 2011 Oitavos Dunes jumped 20 places up the list to be considered the 68th best course in the world and the second best in mainland Europe. Inside the resort you have also 10 tennis courts (two synthetic grass & eight in clay), 3 Padel courts, 3 Squash/RacketBall courts, Sauna, gym, indoor swimming pool, restaurants and the Marinha Equestrian Centre, considered one of the largest and most well equipped of the Iberian Peninsula.

We say in the site that it is advisable to have a car, for commodity, but in fact there are some buses available. Route 415 of Cascais buses connects the city center, including the train station, to a bus stop very close to the house, and also to the Guincho beach, and other beaches. From the house to the 415 bus stop is less than a 5 minutes walk, and you will be at the Cascais train station in 10 minutes. The train station is where you get the train to Lisbon. It is an absolutely gorgeous train ride, by the ocean and then the Tagus river, with amazing views.

There is also a bus in Cascais, called the BusCas, that does a tour of almost all the important places in the city, and the fare is only 0.60 Euro.

The nearest by pay-per-use pool is an outdoors pool. The is also the nearby Club Visconde swimming pools, indoors and outdoors, which are a delight, and a pool by the ocean, on the way to Guincho and Cresmina beaches, in the Arriba restaurant. In the Cascais city centre there are salt-water, ocean-based pools, to use for free.

The nearest beaches are Crismina Beach (8 min by car) and the Cascais city center beach near Baia Hotel (10 min by car). You can also cycle to those places, as there is a bike route too, very beautiful, by the ocean. Cascais has bikes that people can use for free (BiCas). There is one outlet of BiCas near Casa da Guia (a close-buy shopping center, very charming, you can google it).
