At dusk, the garden pathways are lit by terracotta lanterns and the pools / fountains are floodlit. An ideal setting for a gathering with friends on the Terrace, in particular in the late evenings.

Local areas worth a visit: Casares "White Village" 14km inland from La Perla. Within 30 minutes drive west on the A7/N340 is Sotogrande Puerto/Marina, San Roque, Gibraltar and Tarifa. Travelling eastwards is Estepona, Rhonda, San Pedro, Puerto Banus and Marbella.

For children there are a number of parks within 40 minutes drive including: Selwo Safari Park, Tivoli world and Sea Life.

Local golf clubs include:, Club de Finca Cortesin, Casares Golf & Country Club, Casares Costa Golf, and La Duquesa Golf (all within 3km). A short drive west: Valderrama Golf Club and San Roque Club

Casares Costa is a coastal strip of approximately 10km stretching from Estepona west to San Luis de Sabinillas The town of Casares itself is located 14km inland from the coast.. Casares is a historic town, categorized as one of SpainWhite Villages" A MUST VISIT.

The local coastal town of San Luis de Sabinillas is 12 minute walk (or 2 mins. by car) from La Perla de La Bahia. This former fishing village has retained many of its original characteristic. In addition to its seafront promenade (Paseo Maritimo) there are a range of Restaurants, Bars, Medical Centre, Pharmacy, Banks/ATMs and upermarkets,
Two Kilometers further West is La Duquesa Marina which has a wide range of Restaurants to choose from, and lively entertainment in select number of bars. The weekly market is held on the town seafront on Friday mornings. Always worth a visit
