Casares del Sol is ideal for beach, golf and sightseeing holdays. Close to a lovely sandy beach, and beach bar that serves excellent food! Small convenience shop & taxis within walking distance. Ideal for family or couple holidays - Children's swimming pools available with lifeguards in holiday season.

Sabinillas & Puerto de la Duquesa are a pleasant 20/30 minute walk along the beach and a paved promenade, and few minutes drive. Estepona is a 10 minute drive away. There are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants in the Yacht Marina of Duquesa and on the seafront of Sabinillas.

The old town of Estepona is well worth a visit - you will find shops, pavement cafes, beach bars, typically spanish restaurants and the old square where you can sit and watch the world go by. Marbella and Puerto Banus just 20 mins away. Now high speed broadband installed and access to wide range TV stations. Beautiful gardens and open space. Close to Golf and sea and lots of places

The Costa del Sol region

All year round sunshine. Ideal for beach, golf, sailing, sightseeing.

Other activities include water park for the children (30 minute drive away), wild life park (20 minute drive away), riding, sailing, diving, walking, culture and history.

If you do want to venture further afield then the Costa del Sol is a great location for visiting other parts of Andalusia or Southern Spain, such as the cities of Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada, Jerez de la Frontera, Malaga & Seville, and are all within easy reach and steeped in their own history and culture.

This area is upmarket and not frequented by Package Tours. If you like package tour holdiays and do not like doing your own thing then the Estepona area is not the place for you!!

Whilst Estepona is a lovely upmarket Spanish town the prices do not reflect the very expensive prices that you will find in Marbella & Puerto Banus.

Sabinillas is just a few minutes drive and has a good collection of shops for 'everyday' needs (including 4 supermarkets). Sabinillas is a small town next door to the marina of Duquesa, it is very typically Spanish with little tourist influence, however there are some fantastic restaurants on the sea front and a lovely promenade with a childrens play area, outdoor gym equipment and many local tapas bars.

Just 5 mins drive / 20/30 minutes stroll along the paved promenade is the port of Duquesa where there is every restaurant imaginable: typical Spanish, Italian (including Speciality Pizza) Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Sea Food, Good Old British Pub Food, Steak Houses – basically there is anything you need in the port and more…

There are plenty of other places to visit, and for a days outing drive to the magnificent ancient city of Ronda about 45 mins away plus the historic towns of Cadiz, Grenada and Seville. Slightly further is the town of Jerez, home to sherry making and the wonderful Horse shows.

Driving south towards the Atlantic coast there is Tarifa, a surfer's paradise and only 50 mins away. From here you can take the fast ferry to Morocco, a 45 mins crossing.

For children there are the superb water parks at Mijas and Algerciras, the Tivoli Gardens at Benalmadena, the Selwo Safari park at near Estepona and the Funny Beach towards Fuengirola.
Gibraltar offers a host of attractions from dolphin watching, apes on the Rock as well as duty free shopping, just over the "frontier" (you will need your passport). Park in Spain walk across and you avoid the queues at the frontier.
