The Hayloft is a limestone threshing barn, lovingly converted by the Owner after being owned by generations of her family, and retains many features including oak beams, stonework and owl holes. It has luxury soft furnishings, quality appliances, endless facilities and exudes peace and tranquility.

On entering, the stunning Cumbrian green slate floor leads past the handcrafted, oak staircase to a central farmhouse kitchen with oak dining table and chairs. The open kitchen is a 'cooks kitchen', with black granite worktops, an induction hob, fan oven, integrated fridge and Bosch dishwasher. A fully-heated, slate roofed oak Conservatory is attached, with leather sofa, John Lewis snuggle sofa and rocking chair, TV, bookcase and views over the garden. On the ground-floor, there is a lovely antique Victorian double bed and power shower room.

The oak and iron staircase, made in the village, leads to a galleried lounge with window seats to take in views of Morecambe Bay. There is a stone-built fireplace with gas fire, SMART TV and DVD and two high-quality sofas (one is a sofa bed) and lots of lovely decorative furnishings. Leading off is a cosy twin bedroom and a further double - all beds and bedding are high quality - and there is endless hot water for the corner bath in the family bathroom and heated towel rails with fluffy towels.

The Hayloft welcomes 2 pets, and the garden is fully enclosed. It features lawn, borders, a pergola and wall fountain and a trough in the Laundry Room is ideal for paw washing after walks from the door. There is a washing machine and tumble drier too.

The Games Room has table-tennis, football table and darts, a drinks fridge and freezer, and is very popular with all the family.

The cottage is warm, cosy and very clean, and on arrival, it is like walking into a home! It is ideally placed near to a pub with fire that accepts dogs, with walks from the door including the Cumbria Coastal Way and the promenade into Edwardian Grange-over-Sands or throughout the gorgeous, yet un-commercialsed Cartmel Peninsula. Yet Lake Windermere is only 10 minutes away, with good roads to the heart of the Lakes. There are cafes, pubs, restaurants including 2 Michelin-starred L'enclume in Cartme (named the Best Restaurant in the UK)l, award-winning shops like Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding and Higginson Butchers and visitor attractions like Holker Hall within minutes.

A holiday in The Hayloft can be what you make it...but whatever that is, you have a stunning home to return to, offering warmth, comfort and peace!
