“Stunning location”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2016

Great wee cottage in a gorgeous location. Has everything you need for a break away with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We visited for the nearby Dark Sky park but found that we didn't need to leave the village for a stunning display from the stars

“Well recommended”

We stayed at lavender cottage for 10 days and i must say as holidays go this was great. bob and his wife are great and so helpful too.I cannot say enough how much i enjoyed this break.Carsphairn is a lovely little hamlet nestled between a range of rolloing hills and lochs just what the doctor ordered.

“Absolutely gorgeous place”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2012

We booked this trip at the last minute. Bob and his family were so friendly and their hospitality was first class. The cottage was spotless and could not fault it in any way. We all loved the coal/log fire which made the break even more relaxing. Bedrooms were beautiful and very comfortable, haven't slept so well in ages. Very dog friendly, with an enclosed garden. The surrounding forests and villages are definitely worth a visit. Will be definitely be going back.
