A Bed and Breakfast serviced accommodation located in the old residential area of Carrickfergus within walking distance of the town centre and with 3 guest bedrooms.

1 x double/twin (ensuite) room (double bed & single bed). Front garden aspect.

1 x twin-bedded (ensuite) room (2 x single beds). Front garden aspect.

1 x double/twin room with slightly smaller private facilities, including shower,(double and single bed). Back yard aspect with tree-lined small sea view.

Each room has wireless internet, hospitality trays, satellite tv, digital alarm clock, electric blankets (winter), hairdryer and ironing board/iron on request.

We also provide free off-road car parking and a secure yard (ideal for guests with motorcycles and bicycles etc).

We offer freshly cooked breakfasts and our meats come from our local butcher. Any dietary requirements please let us know in advance and we will be happy to help.

Ideal base for starting (or finishing!) the Causeway Coastal Route - Giants Causeway (World Heritage Site) only 90 minutes by car (direct), and while you're there, visit the filming locations from the 'Game of Thrones'....The Dark Hedges. Perhaps you enjoy walking and are feeling energetic...why not visit 'The Gobbins Cliff Walk', located nearby or the exciting Belfast City with its many attractions including The Titanic Visitors Centre, Titanic Quarter, Crumlin Road, Gaol, City Hall, Ulster Museum and Stormont.

Why not travel back in time at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum at Cultra (only 20 minutes by car) from Loughside.

Or...why not let us book you a seat on a luxury air-conditioned coach and enjoy a day trip to up the Causeway Coast, visiting Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Bushmills Distillery etc (full day).

Loughside B&B is situated on the main A2 coastal road and within easy walking distance of the beautiful old historic sea-side town of Carrickfergus and it's splendid Norman Castle, Marina and Promenade. Also nearby are the oldest Gasworks in Ireland, The Andrew Jackson Cottage/US Rangers Centre, Carrickfergus Museum and many other places of interest. Restaurants and shops all nearby and within level walking distance.

Coming from another country?? ....avoid the hassle of driving in the city, and having to find car spaces in busy Belfast and try the train instead!!

Train Halt and Station near to the b&b - so why not relax,......leave the car behind and visit the new Titanic Visitors Centre, hop on a tour bus and see all that Belfast has to offer or 'shop till you drop'!! Downshire Train Halt (5 min walk from Loughside B&B) takes you right into Belfast Central Station. (Short walk to city centre (10 min), or free on the metro bus). (Carrickfergus Station nearby too with lots of car spaces available free of charge).

Also buses passing front of house. Train/Bus Timetables/Information leaflets available at the B&B! Lots of leaflets, maps etc at the B&B for your information. Also we are happy to offer any local knowledge or advice.
