“Fantastic family accommodation”
Malleny was a lovely place to stay during our recent family holiday in Carnoustie. It's a home from home, with everything you could possibly need to hand, and plenty of space for a family of five. The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids and the proximity to the beach and shops is so convenient. We will definitely return next time we're up seeing family. Thanks to Aileen for her help and hospitality!
“Relaxing holiday central location for exploring the region”
The cottage is cosy and includes all the amenities that you could need. The hot tub is excellent after a long day exploring or walking on the beach. The garden is private and a great place to relax. Aileen was very welcoming and her attention to detail was much appreciated. The chilled champagne and non alcoholic version went down well with both adults and teenagers. We would not hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone.
“Relaxing coastal reteat”
We are a couple with 3 teenage daughters and a dog. We booked Malleny Cottage for my 40th birthday as a weekend getaway. It catered for all our needs, we all loved the hot tub and the weather was perfect while we were there. We had 2 bottles of bubbly waiting for us on our arrival (one non alcoholic) and tea, sugar, toilet paper etc was provided, as were clean towels and lovely soft bath robes. Our dog loved running along the beach and we took some great photographs, we all enjoyed Arbroath beach, harbour and shops too. The Co-op is literally at the end of the street and there are plenty of take aways. We would love to come here again!
“Fabulous house with lots of extra touches added !”
My wife and I have stayed at malleny Cottage on 3 occasions now and have had a wonderful experience each time. The cottage i sfully equipped and maintained to a very high standard, the hot tub is 'top notch' and the garden is totally enclosed and private for our small dog. The owners are wonderfully dog friendly which adds to the total enjoyment of our holiday, and nothing is too much bother for Colin and Aileen. Spotlessly clean, the house comes equipped with the extra touches that help so much with any holiday...soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher powder etc, and even a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge on arrival. The lights and fireplace were switched on to give us a wonderfully warm welcome and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We'll defintatelly be back!
“Wonderful cottage in a great location.”
Stayed at Malleny Cottage for a short break in October, 3 adults an 11 year old and 2 dogs. On arrival at the cottage our first impressions were very good as we had 2 cars there was plenty of room, the outside of the cottage was lovely sitting in its own wee private garden (not overlooked)and fully enclosed for the dogs. The inside of the cottage was immaculate and a great size for a 2 bed,the family room is ideal with an en suite and dressing room with very comfy beds, the other double bedroom is light bright and has a lovely addition of a conservatory. We were very lucky with the weather so used the hot tub every day.The owners of the cottage leave easy to understand instructions. The Hotel Abourkir which is located a 2 minute walk serves excellent food and is also dog friendly. The walks from the property are fantastic and everything you need on your doorstep. My family and I would not hesitate to go back to this wonderful cottage.
Owner's reply: I am so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. As you know, we are very dog friendly and are delighted that the whole family were able to enjoy the facilities at the cottage. We hope to see you again sometime soon.
