Location description from owner

The England region

The Lake District is famous for its natural beauty and spectacular views. Popular with walkers for generations, the area offers bustling towns such as Windermere, Kendal and Bowness with great tourist facilities, while miles of open fells mean that it is easy to escape the crowds.

Carnforth

Attractions such as garden centres, pubs and restaurants are within easy reach of Carnforth, as are the pretty towns of Silverdale and Grange-over-Sands, Kirkby Lonsdale and Arnside. Carnforth Railway Station was famously the setting for Brief Encounter, and a visitor centre is set up to welcome film-buffs.

“Perfect”

Perfect break, the lodge is wonderful the scenery is perfect,we had a peaceful relaxing holiday which is just what we wanted. The heating had been put on for us arriving so the lodge was lovely and warm, Barbara had left us a welcome tray for a much needed cuppa after our journey. The bed was so comfy, I always have trouble sleeping in a strange bed but feel asleep straight away. This lodge is home from home everything you could want is supplied. If we ever decide to return to Cumbria for a break we will not hesitate to book the lodge again.

“brilliant, nice and clean.”

Great location, fantastic views, coffee, tea and even milk here when we came and some yummy biscuits as well... Cant fault the location or the home itself, the only thing that makes me not want to come back is that they have a CCTV installed that looks right into the front room. We only saw this on our second day so have been going to the bathroom during night in the buff... not entirely happy that the owners feel that they can spy on us whenever they want without letting us know about this first.... Would not recommend this, but only because of the CCTV.... if you dont care what other people see then this is perfect for you...

“Relaxing break with lovely views”

Clean, comfortable lodge with great views over the lake and impressive glass frontage. We felt well looked after and had everything we needed in the lodge. Close to good walking areas and the coast. Food at restaurant was also very good.
