This magnificent home is set on a secluded site with its own wooded area and private stream 4 miles from Carlingford. It offers quality contemporary interiors with every modern comfort to relax and refresh you, and give you a home from home feel not to mention a decking area where you can dine el-fresco and take in the breath taking scenery of the surrounding Mourne Mountains and Carlingford Lough. This definitely has the WOW factor! 

If you are interested in Hill walking holidays, golf holidays, weekend breaks or wish to visit the area to sample its wealth of pubs and restaurants, Carlingford Cottage is the ideal location.

Carlingford is a magical village full of character and is one of the best preserved medieval villages in Ireland. The village is steeped in history with many heritage sites and narrow Mediaeval streets and lanes. Carlingford harbour with the majestic backdrop of Slieve Foye mountain and the famous mountains of Mourne across the lough all combine to make Carlingford unique in Ireland. Carlingford boasts many of Ireland's finest restaurants and pubs where you can enjoy the traditional Irish Culture and nightlife on offer.

Carlingford is also renowned for its many annual events and festivals throughout the year with the internationally renowned Carlingford Oyster festival in August, walking festivals, and a leprechaun Hunt in March, among others.

Why can't I call Patrick (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Patrick (the owner) a message.

If Patrick (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
