“GREAT PLACE TO STAY”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2016

Lovely large house for our family of 12. granny, grandad, sons, daughters in law and 6 grandchildren .Kitchen was spacious and there was a lovely big dining room for 12 with an open fire. I can imagine how wonderful this would be in winter. Plenty of room for the children to spread out and play. Good village with two pubs and within easy reach of the Lake District and Grange Over Sands. Good area outside for BBQs and sitting with a drink (weather permitting) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Owner's reply: Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

“Great for a weekend get together”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2013

We had a brilliant weekend, the location is excellent. The amazing weather helped to make the weekend great and we had a lovely time in the cottage and surrounding area. We were pleased that it was so near to the train station, as we got the train into Ulverston and spent the day there. We had a walk into Cartmel through the trees on an off road track, very nice easy walk for anyone to do. On the first night we cooked a meal on arrival and the kitchen was very well equipped with crockery, utensils and pans etc. The garden is lovely and we ate and drank outside a lot during our stay. All in all we had a great weekend, enjoyed by us all.
