Wide french-windows open onto the private patio garden (one step) with picnic tables and plenty of room to enjoy the views.
Trefula is near both coasts with their harbours and swimming/surfing beaches and is well positioned for visiting the famous NT properties and attractions such as the Eden Project and St Ives Tate.
Next the garden is a parking area for 2+ cars and a 2½ acre field. Access is across our private land. There are convector heaters in all rooms; heating, lighting and cooking is provided by mains electricity. A private well supplies all the water to the farm. Summer electricity and linen is included in the price, towels may be hired for a small charge.
Please note that the first floor is open-plan and therefore more suitable for single family occupancy.

Location description from owner

The England region

Cornwall is at the foot of the south-west peninsula of the British Isles bordered by the county of Devon to the east, by the Atlantic to the north and the English Channel to the south. It enjoys a maritime climate, mild in winter and warm in summer. Cornwall (or Kernow in its mother tongue) was an ancient Celtic kingdom akin to Wales and Brittany with its own heritage and culture. It is sparsely populated with a population of only 535,000. For visitors it is famous for its beaches and gardens but it hosts its own UNESCO world heritage site for its mining history.

Carharrack

Trefula, meaning owl place or farm, is a farming settlement in the heart of Cornwall's heritage mining area less than a mile from the village of St Day between the principal towns of Truro and nearby Redruth, ideally placed for access to both north & south coasts with their harbours, surfing beaches, coastal paths and sea views. Several super-markets are only a few minutes drive away as well as late-opening local convenience shops. There are main line railway stations at Truro & Redruth and regular buses to both from our doorstep and St Day.
To the west lies Land's End, to the south the Lizard and Helford river and to the north the best surfing beaches in Europe. Falmouth with its harbour, castle, marinas and boat trips takes just 20 minutes by road, St Ives with its beaches and the Tate art gallery is a 25 minutes drive and Penzance about 35 minutes with access by ferry to the Isles of Scilly. Trains and buses also serve each of these. The famous National Trust gardens of Cornwall and many other attractions fall within easy reach, as do the Eden project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Goonhilly Earth Station and Flambards theme park. In the near vicinity there are a number of foot & cycle paths and Redruth & St Day both have historical town trails.
