“Fabulous”

On arrival we were amazed by the setting of the lodge. It was stunning. The cabin was beautiful and cosy and looked even more beautiful than the pictures we had seen which sold it to us in the first place. Julie the owner had left us fresh eggs, wine and bread which was lovely. The rooms were clean and linen on bed was fresh and snuggly the owners were lovely and showed us the farm and were so hospitable and welcoming. It felt like we had known them ages. It is great for a quiet getaway and nearby there are lovely coastal paths to walk and a beautiful village to have lunch . The lodge itself was the winner with the toasty log burner and beautiful surroundings. My only regret is coming home but I will definitely book again and more than likely again after that!!!! Thank you to the owners who were great and made it feel a home from home x

“A slice of Heaven”

Have spent the most wonderful week in the Brynmeini lake lodge with the family. The lovely owners, Julie and David gave us a warm welcome and were always happy to help. The lodge itself is just perfect. Everything is in the right place so that it is spacious as well as practical. In fact we liked it so much we didn't really go to visit other places during our stay and just had 'lazy days' everyday :). There is also a great selection of DVDs available so you can't get bored! Reading a book is especially enjoyable as it is very quiet and peaceful and you can really get lost in it. Also, the lodge is conveniently placed in a space which allows for a gorgeous view of the lake, farm, and surrounding fields. One other appealing thing is that you can actually visit the farm and see all the animals, some of which are these incredibly adorable alpacas! So that was a nice treat! It is delightful to see how everything is really well taken care of. Additionally, the yard was like a breath of fresh air, so we spent a lot of time sun bathing on the deck chairs, having a barbecue or roasting marshmallows! The yard was also perfect for playing with our dog who really enjoyed the yard the most probably as she was able to run around and play freely. There is no doubt about the fact that we are coming back next year, it is the perfect getaway spot, I don't think we could find a better one! We look forward to seeing Julie and David again as they have been so welcoming and sweet! Thank you for the perfect holiday!

“Amazing”

We stayed at the lodge for a low key / restful hen weekend. The property was very easy to find and when we turned up at the lodge we were speechless. The setting was very idilic and the lodge was simply charming. The owners simply couldn't have done more for us during the booking process or whilst we were there. The accommodation was to a very high standard and the lodge had everything we needed. We enjoyed our afternoon relaxing on deck chairs and loungers and evenings dining on the veranda overlooking the lake. Thank you so much for a great weekend.

“A great place to be.....Jaw dropping location with easy access to the coast”

Greeted to a lovely chalet with music playing as we entered, tea coffee, milk etc and a bottle of wine, great touch. David and Julie invited us for a lovely supper on one evening of our stay which was very kind and enjoyed there company immensely. The chalet feels very cosy but airy. We are looking forward to returning in the winter months to enjoy the new wood burner, especially as the wood and kindling is also provided. The beds very comfy with lots of fresh white covers and linen, great kitchen facilities (including dishwasher), nice big shower in the bathroom and plenty of space in the living area that opens on to a nice decked area with tables and chairs overlooking the lake. Whitesands beach at St Davids a must and not too far away but also really enjoyed a day pottering around the farm. My son really enjoyed being with all the animals and driving David's little farm 'get around'. All in all, a definite must visit for anybody....awesome! Thanks to you both

“Cosy Wooden Cabin in peaceful setting”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2014

we arrived at the cabin and were warmly welcomed by Julie, who showed us around and gave advice on walks nearby. The cabin is very well equipped and cosy. We were lucky to have great weather but I think it would be lovely and warm on cooler days, with a wood burner and plenty of electric heaters. We were 2 adults and a young baby and found the cabin spacious with plenty of room for more people. The cabin stands in its own private wooded area away from the farm but Julie and her husband encouraged us to feel free to explore and look at the animals including alpaca, sheep, goats and pigs. Because no one was booked in the day we were leaving, we were told to leave when we were ready and there was no rush. This was great, as our last morning was more relaxed and a lovely change from the having to rush on final mornings, particularly with a baby. The wine, bread, eggs, milk, tea was very kind and much welcomed. A great stay with very friendly owners, we will definitely return for another visit! Thankyou.

“A tranquil haven with all the comforts of home plus more.”

I've never written a review before, but I feel this deserves one. I luckily came across Lake Lodge whilst browsing the internet for somewhere in West Wales, reasonably priced, and suitable for a short break with my husband and two teenage daughters (aged 19 and 17) along with our two small dogs. Lake Lodge looked lovely on line and the owners were most helpful when I enquired prior to booking. On arrival, we were welcomed by Julie, who showed us around the Lodge and left a lovely welcome pack with the nicest eggs I've ever tasted, from the resident hens. The Lodge is actually larger than it appears on line and has everything you could ever need. It was very clean with some lovely touches, and saved a lot on our packing, as towels, bedding and even robes and slippers were provided. It's set on the edge of Pembrokeshire, but the neighbouring Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire are on the doorstep. The location is very rural, so transport is a must. The working farm on which the Lodge is set is surrounded by stunning views. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Julie and David, who happily showed us around the farm and introduced us to the animals, and even invited us to walk our dogs with theirs! It's the perfect spot for a family or for a romantic get away. Our batteries were fully recharged after our stay and my husband and I are looking forward to returning in July to celebrate our anniversary in the countryside.

“Peaceful”

Had a very peaceful time. We went for 2 nights as we wanted to get away from city life which we got as expected. The cottage is in excellent condition, beds are too comfy and the lounge room is superb. The surroundings is even better as you can see plenty of birds and animals. There is also a pond at the back which makes it even more beautiful. And once again thanks julie for the welcome pack which included a bottle of wine, tea, bread, milk and butter. P.S. Many thanks for the food which you provided us so late in the night when requested.:)

The owners really have thought of everything. Arrived to find wine, fresh eggs, bread, butter and a collection of dvd's. Absolutely delighted with the lodge and the nearby lake. Exceptionally clean and functional and in a fantastic location. Would recommend to anyone that wants some peace and tranquility
