“What a beauty”
Well if you are looking for a typical French house to stay in this is the one for you. We have stayed in many different holiday homes throughout france and would rate this one as by far the best. Sue and Paul the owners are so helpfully and friendly that from the time you arrive you feel they have been waiting just for you. From the delightfully welcome pack to the chance to integrate with this lovely family you will feel completely at home. We had a fantastic holiday here and were really sorry to leave but will return as soon as possible
Thank you for the wonderful review. Very much appreciated. It was great meeting you too and we do hope you will be back one day. X
“Perfect for peace and quiet”
We had a really good relaxing stay in what proved to be a really convenient centre point for the places we wanted to visit. Sue and Paul are easy going and helpful , sharing the produce of their garden and chickens . The pool was very refreshing on a hot day, of which we had many, and I find myself missing the dog pack with their individual peculiarities. Beautiful part of the country, well worth a visit if you have not been, and a nice place to stay. For those that critique such things, there is now a baking tray which we left as intended along with our hats which we did not. C'est la vie !!
Thank you so much for your great review. We loved having you stay in our cottage and the time spent with you especially the wonderful meal you cooked for us all to share. Hope we might see you again. Best wishes Paul n Sue Your hats will be in the post tomorrow. :)
We had a wonderful weeks stay at Honeysuckle cottage and Sue and Paul were great hosts. The cottage is on the same site as Sue and Paul's cottage with shared courtyard and gardens. We were able to use all the garden facilities and eat our tea in the sunny courtyard with a bottle of wine. The cottage is extremely well equipped. The little touches were so nice such as a cool box for our use and some scales to weigh luggage before you leave!! Sue and Paul also helped us by printing our boarding cards with Ryanair. One morning we woke to the sound of a nightingale singing, how lovely. The village is so peaceful and the walks out from the cottage into the fields of vines was beautiful. Alaigne was a great spot to then go out and about, great driving distance for beaches, Cathar castles and medieval towns and villages were all easy. We would love to return. Good luck Sue and Paul
Thank you both for your lovely comments. Much appreciated. Do hope you will come back one day. The weather s very hot now. Summer has come early. Take care Regards S n P x
“Home from home in a delightfull French cottage in the heart of French countryside”
Very warm welcome from Paul and Sue who were always on hand if needed but never intrusive Welcome pack was perfect and the Blanchet a real treat with our Christmas dinner .The cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and cosy even though it was December and no extra charge for the heating The walks from the cottage were delightfull and we were lucky enough to experience sunshine most of the week with an added bonus of going up into the Pyrenees for the sow 3 foot deep Don't forget to have a meal in the local bar run by Lynn and Les lovely meals and company and not forgetting fresh bread daily from the bakery even on Christmas Day We will return hopefully next summer
Hi Both, Thank you so much for your great review. It means so much to us to know you have enjoyed your stay here. We really do try to get things right and for good responses like yours it really is worth all the effort. Hope we do see you again sometime. With warm wishes Sue n Paul
Lovely location and charming cottage. Owners very friendly and helpful. I suspect the surrounding countryside is beautiful in the Summer months.
Thank you for taking the time to review Honeysuckle Cottage and for your kind words. We do hope you will come again, possibly in the summertime next time. With Best Wishes Sue n Paul
“Peaceful cottage in picturesque, central area with plenty of things to do and places to see.”
Honeysuckle Cottage is a very well equipped holiday home owned by a very friendly and helpful English couple. The cottage is perfect for either lazing the time away, going for lovely walks with stunning views in every direction, or driving further afield to enjoy the variety of nearby locations to visit. With markets, historic towns and villages, vineyards and magnificent and varied scenery to offer, this region has it all. The small pool is also a welcome sight at the end of a long hot day. Argeles village is also of historic interest and the local pub provides good home cooked grub and entertainment. All in all we had a splendid stay with nothing at all to complain about.
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that everything went well for you here in France. We hope to see you again sometime.
“Beautiful countryside, convenient location, friendly helpful owners”
Charming little cottage next door to English owners in a small village with a bakery and cafe/bar. Shared garden with small pool, which was welcome in the unseasonably hot weather. English TV channels and wifi were a welcome bonus. A very good location for sightseeing, close to Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi and a short drive to the rugged scenery and castles of Cathar country. Paul and Sue made us very welcome without intruding, and were extremely helpful. The hightlight of our trip was a drive through the Gorge de Galamus - we had not considered going there until Paul suggested it.
“A little bit of heaven”
We had the most wonderful week at Honeysuckle cottage. The reason we chose the cottage was because we were keen to have a rural place where we did not need to hire a car to get to and that had bikes available. Honeysuckle ticked all the boxes, and more! Paul and Sue are wonderful hosts, extremely friendly but also gave you space. They included us on a trip to the local restuarant, into Limoges market and to the village celebration. We certainly would love to return to this beautiful part of France.
“Pretty romantic cottage”
When we arrived at the cottage Paul the owner greeted us warmly with produce from his garden ..The cottage is in a wonderful friendly little village with a pub/restaurent run by a welsh lady who gave us a warm welcome. To sum up our holiday I would say pretty and private cottage, lovely helpful owners and friendly natives in some of the most beautiful countryside.Would definitley reccomend.
So pleased to receive your review on Honeysuckle Cottage and to know you really enjoyed your stay. Thank you Best Wishes Sue n Paul
