Morrison Cottage is a semi-detached cottage situated in Satran overlooking Glen Drynoch. Satran is in the area of Skye known as Minginish and a ten minute drive from the Cuillin Hills. The area around abounds with wild life; otters, oystercatchers, sea-eagles, golden-eagles, sparrow-hawks, along with buzzards that sweep and soar along the glen. An ideal base for climbing the Cuillin Hills or searching out the "Fairy Pools" as the start of the walk can be reached within a 10 minute car journey. In the village of Carbost you will find Talisker Distillery where you can book onto a tour to find out how single malt spirit is made then matured in warehouses to become Talisker Single Malt Whisky.

We built this cottage specifically for self catering and hope that everything needed for your stay has been provided. If not we are just at the bottom of the croft where hopefully I’ll have the item you are looking for.

We have reference books, maps and internet access to help you plan your trips around .

Included in the rate is bed-linen, towels, heating, electric and internet connection.

Note that a commission fee will be applied by Tripadvisor for your booking

While the cottage will be cleaned for your arrival it is upto the guest to keep it clean and tidy during their stay.

House rules

The cottage is let on a self catering basis and it is recommended that you shop for groceries before arrival, because of Allergen Laws I do not supply any groceries.
There will be enough toiletries for the first night only. There will also be basic detergents in the kitchen again enough for the first night.
The cottage will be throughly cleaned for your arrival however it is upto the guest to clean it during their stay.

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for for our 3 night stay on the Isle of Skye. The cottage was very clean and spacious and well equipped. It was the perfect location for touring the island. We were very comfortable and the facilities were very good.

How do damage deposits work?

If Dorothy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
