Description from owner

Description

Morrison Cottage is a semi-detached cottage situated in Satran overlooking Glen Drynoch. Satran is in the area of Skye known as Minginish and a ten minute drive from the Cuillin Hills. The area around abounds with wild life; otters, oystercatchers, sea-eagles, golden-eagles, sparrow-hawks, along with buzzards that sweep and soar along the glen. An ideal base for climbing the Cuillin Hills or searching out the "Fairy Pools" as the start of the walk can be reached within a 10 minute car journey. In the village of Carbost you will find Talisker Distillery where you can book onto a tour to find out how single malt spirit is made then matured in warehouses to become Talisker Single Malt Whisky.

We built this cottage specifically for self catering and hope that everything needed for your stay has been provided. If not we are just at the bottom of the croft where hopefully I’ll have the item you are looking for.

We have reference books, maps and internet access to help you plan your trips around Skye.

Weekly rates are between £475 and £525 per week (£16.96 to £17.86 per person per night based on 4 people).

Nightly rate is £100 with a minimum stay of 2 nights

Beautiful setting with lovely viiews from the front room.well equiped with everything you could need and want with lots of maps and visitors books .dorothy the owner was very helpful. no wifi signal wich might upset some people but Dorothy was great and told us we could use hers anytime, her house is at the bottom of the cottage.if you want to get away from everything this is the place to go,the scenery is amazing i will be back again.

“Ideal base for exploring Skye.”

Reviewed 30 May 2017

Stunning views in a relaxed rural setting yet reasonable access to varied activities such as local inn, distillery, historical sites, hiking, restaurants, galleries, etc. by car. The cottage was comfortably furnished/decorated and the owner has thoughtfully provided all essential amenities. Our stay was far too short (two nights). We'll visit again.
