Description

Mackenzie Cottage is a semi-detached cottage situated in Satran with views of Loch Harport and overlooking Glen Drynoch. Satran is in the area of Skye known as Minginish and a ten minute drive from the Cuillin Hills. The area around abounds with wild life; otters, oystercatchers, sea-eagles, golden-eagles, sparrow-hawks, along with buzzards that sweep and soar along the glen. An ideal base for climbing the Cuillin Hills or searching out the "Fairy Pools" as the start of the walk can reached within a 10 minute car journey. In the village of Carbost you will find Talisker Distillery where you can book onto a tour to find out how single malt spirit is made then matured in warehouses to become Talisker Single Malt Whisky.

Our weekly rates are between £475 and £525 per week (£16.96 to £18.75 per person per night based on 4 people).

Our nightly rate is £100 to £120 per night, minimum of 3 night stay.

Note at checkout TripAdvisor will add their commission fee on to the rate we charge.

Note it is advisable to purchase groceries before arrival as the cottage is let on a self catering basis only.

The cottage is let on a self catering basis and it is recommended that you shop for groceries before arrival, because of Allergen Laws I do not supply any groceries.
There will be enough toiletries for the first night only. There will also be basic detergents in the kitchen again enough for the first night.

“Amazing cottage”

The cottage fully deserves its 5* rating Fantastic situation overlooking the Loch, views of the cuillin and the pub less than a mile away Inside was full of superlatives We were ideally situated for our focus on bagging some Munros with the assistance of Skye Adventure Food at the Three Chimneys was amazing and chocolate brownie at Janns cafe, Dunvegan, was the best ever

1) The cottage was clean, tidy, cosy and well equipped. 2) The location is very suitable for a relaxing holiday/break, walking and viewing nature. 3) There is a local pub (The Old Inn), with good food and a relaxed atmosphere, about a 5 minute drive. 4) There is no WIFI 5) No Mobile phone reception COLD SPOTS Between Sligachan and Dunvegan can be poor. Parts of West Skye are poor
