Heatherbell has been graded as a 5* self-catering house by VisitScotland, our house is on our elevated croft, situated above Talisker Distillery, with wonderful views up Loch Harport to the Cuillin Hills beyond.

The lounge, to the front of the house has these same views of Loch Harport and the Cuillin beyond and is furnished with 2 x 3 seat leather sofas, a coffee table, a wifi enabled TV, a Samsung docking station compatible with most devices to play your music on. T.V. channels are provided by FreeSat, radio stations cans be sourced to FreeSat also.

We also have reference books and maps to help you plan your trips around Skye.

To the back of the lounge is a twin bedroom with bedside tables and built cupboard for clothes storage. In this room is also a cupboard with iron. Ironing-board, hover and cleaning stuffs.

The kitchen is fitted out with everything needed to make your food preparation easy. It has a full sized dishwasher, an upright fridge-freezer, ceramic hob and oven and a washer-dryer. There is also a granite topped central island for food preparation. The dining area is just off the kitchen.

Upstairs we have two bedrooms both with their own en-suite shower-room, however, if you prefer a bath there is a family bathroom downstairs. The bedrooms have built-in hanging space, dressing table, kingsize bed, bedside tables and TV with incorporated DVD player.

Please note that the beds are not zip & link and do not separate.

The whole house has central heating, underfloor downstairs & radiators upstairs.

This house is not suitable for pets, we also require that you do not smoke in the house.

This house is neighbour to our other house Tigh Fraoich.

Beautiful house with beautiful views . This was our fourth year returning to Skye and by far the best yet . Everything you could want at Heatherbell . Will definitely return !

Superb setting with views to Cuillins, Carbost and Loch Harport House very well appointed, great place to stay to explore Skye. Easy walking distance to excellent Carbost Inn, shop and Talisker distillery. Great base for Cuillins both Glenbrittle and Sligachan Would thoroughly recommend this and given experience here would be happy to stay in any of Dorothy Morrison's properties

“From one cleaner to another.... tops marks!”

We rented this property on another visit to the Isle of Skye for a local friend's wedding after finding all the hotels and inn's full but one man's loss is another man's gain as they say as we hit the jackpot with this property! The setting, the views are truly breathtaking and that's before you walk into the property. The thing we liked about this cottage is that it really was a home from home, there was nothing that Dorothy and the team hadn't included and we really could make ourselves at home for our week's stay, her communication was also second to none. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed apart from the food! You can do the washing, dry it in the tumble dryer and there's also a dishwasher. The beds were better than our beds at home with fresh sheets, luxury duvets and throws. The bathrooms like all this newly built cottage are completed with waterfall shower heads and heated towel rails. The thing i really liked about this house is that all the interior design includes handmade Skye pieces, including original artworks and prints along with so much useful info on the area and places to visit. This is such a nice touch and I found myself buying quite a few items in various craft shops! Would highly recommend this place as being a cleaner for me having a clean property was a must and this did not disappoint at all! We will most certainly book this place again - huge well done to Dorothy and the team!
